Chapter Thirty-One Philip Carol shut his eyes and rested his elbows on his desk. He’d just listened to an update from Rodney Williams, the lawyer he’d despatched to represent Jack Swan and James Weir, on what had transpired at Police Headquarters. Rodney’s news had not been good. He opened his eyes and gazed through the window towards the urban forest that dominated the East Park skyline. He wondered how long it would take the police to trace the money to its source, if they got their hands on Tony Slade. He realized that if they identified the source, it wouldn’t be long before they knew everything about their operation.
