“Hi Dad, How are you?” asked Mia when I answered her 5th call. “Hi Mia. How do you think I am?” I asked. “Like Jeena” she answered and I hung up again. My phone buzzed and I wanted to ignore her call once more, thinking that if I drift away from her she will come closer to me but on the other hand I was eager to know what she had to say. “Dad I’m sorry” I heard the honesty in her voice as I picked up the phone again. “Mia” I sighed, not knowing what else to say. “I miss you Dad” she said and I could no longer act stubborn. “I miss you too Mia” I replied, letting my walls down. “I need to tell you something” her voice held happiness and sadness at the same time. “You got registered and Xavier is now your husband?” I asked, confirming the news. “Yes. How did you know?” she ask
