THE DAWN OF AN ERA
Friday 1st November, 2096. TOKYO, JAPAN. Tokyo was a very busy city. It had a lot of billboards, cars, and so many people walking around. That day was supposed to be a normal day, except it wasn't. A crack suddenly appeared in the sky above a large building. It was the building of GG'S PROD., a movie production company. The crack gathered attention as it grew larger. The crowd were fascinated. They thought it was a hologram display of a thriller, and this wasn't the first time it was happening. After the crack expanded, it was followed by the entrance of a large monster. It was huge, muscular,. possessed horns and a large halberd was strapped to its back. It folded both hands at it looked down at the multitude of people, staring at them with disgust that showed in its eyes, not in its facial expression. It wasn't until a hundred others followed behind that the people began to feel genuine fear. Silence. For about a few seconds, until someone screamed and took off in fear, he was running, and others followed. The monsters unhesitatingly began to fall to the ground from the building as a large grin appeared on the leader's face. It's alright to say it rained monsters, because after the first hundred, they swarmed through the hole in astronomical figures. A large m******e took place as hundreds ad hundreds of people died. The monsters killed people, destroyed buildings and devastated terrains. In a few minutes, aircrafts were seen towering above the area as different bullets, bombs and missiles were being fired at the targets. But still, they were too hard to kill. Few minutes later, a giant, heavy aircraft flew above the city as it's shadow covered more than half of the city. It hummed for about 30 seconds, then a huge blue beam of energy was fired down at the multitude of monsters, not even minding the presence of lives and properties. At this point the government wanted to annihilate the threat by any means necessary. The beam fired down at the origin of the Monsters' spawn, it utterly destroyed that place, killed about 40 percent of the Monsters and even caused the portal to close. However, that was their last resort and they only had one of it. Secondly, they lost more humans than monsters in that beam, and everything was gradually falling apart. Asura Livingston was a random young man running in the massive stampede. His kids were at school and his wife had gone to the salon earlier that day. His family was scattered! He was racking his brain on how he could save his family, people around him were dying, he was losing his mind. While he was running, he saw a small intricate wooden box lying beside the body of a dead monster. He slowed down a bit, when he took a closer look, he observed that the openings of the box were shimmering as though light was trying to escape it. He stopped and began approaching it while his mates ran for their dear lives. He knew he could die while trying to quench his curiosity, yet he couldn't help but feel this surge of connection to the box. It was as though something called him to the box. Asura opened the box and as he did, a very bright light suddenly blasted out from the box. Asura felt his eyes burning, his felt his head about to explode from overload and his body vibrating. To him, this pain lasted for about eternity, but in the real world, it took only a single second. After the experience, Asura's body lay down on the ground for about a few seconds. Unconscious. Suddenly, Asura's eyes opened, he felt a large amount of power coursing through his veins, and it seemed like a whole lot of knowledge had been imparted in him within that single second. He grew fascinated, a large grin drew across his face as he slowly levitated voluntarily, his eyes giving off a faint blue glow. In a split second, he speed bursted forward, he began fighting the monsters, all of them. The more he fought with them, the stronger he became. In a few minutes, they got easy for him to kill. "Is this... power?" Asura whispered to himself as he stretched his hands out in a T-pose, his hair moving upwards as he levitated in mid air. He immediately let out a screeching sound with a particular frequency that affected only the monsters. This sound affected their brain directly, and all the monsters in the city that had scattered began speeding their way towards Asura. When they got closer to Asura however, they noticed that his lips were shut, he wasn't screaming to produce those sounds, but nevertheless, he was to be killed, they thought. Asura could only chuckle. When the monsters all got within a 50m radius, he covered it up in a large dome and he exploded everything within the dome in a huge explosion that could have destroyed the whole of Japan if he hadn't put the dome. After the dome was removed, Asura flew up into the air, his body unscathed as he got the attention of a large number of people. "I'm Asura Livingston, keep my legacy and let it not be ever forgotten in history." He had used telepathy, so everyone in the whole world had heard it, including those who weren't even aware of the invasion. Following which, he flew deep into the sky. The Internet boomed with so many messages, vids, clips, posts and attachments for several weeks, but after that day, Asura Livingston was never seen again.
