Finding my mate today is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am so grateful to the Moon Goddess for picking someone as amazing as Rose. I know she will make a wonderful Luna to this pack. Mom linked me and let me know that she is having the omegas bring some snacks and drinks to the suite for us so that she does not have to leave the suite yet. I am glad I was worried how she might react being around so many people right away. I do not want to overwhelm her. I am sitting in my office and chatting with the guys about some of the other packs nearby. I want to see if I can find out what pack she ran from. I have no idea how long she has been living on her own, but it has got to be a while. I mean she was very comfortable and she had built a treehouse. So I mean it had to have been for a few years at least. Maybe we can find out if any packs have had a young girl run away in the last few years. I just need to know what happened to her. I know it was something bad. You can just tell by the fact that she was hiding from me and nervous about coming into the pack in the first place. I hope she will come to realize that she will not be hurt here. She will be safe. We decided to try to casually ask some of the packs if they have had a young shewolf leave their packs in the last few years. Just on her own and not with a mate. We are going to wait for a day or two though. I want to see if she says anything first, then maybe we can just find out more information about the pack before confronting them. Obviously, whatever pack she ran from treated her badly and I want to make sure they are not hurting other members, and I am willing to offer asylum to any that need it. But I needed to figure out the pack first, obviously. “How is your mate doing, Hudson?” I looked over at Jasper, “Well, mom said she is doing good. A little timid but she seemed to be pleased with the room. She said she looked exhausted so she left her there. She let her know that there was comfortable clothing for her in the closet and told her about the bathroom if she wanted to take a bath. So she is settling in right now. Probably going to take a nice long nap. I doubt she had a nice comfortable bed in that treehouse she was living in. I would not be surprised if she sleeps for hours after she lies in the bed haha.” we all laugh and then just sit around going over some of the work for the pack for a bit. I can not stop thinking about my mate though, so I am not much help with the work. I am so happy that I found her. Now I just need to wait for her to be ready to accept me so I can officially make her Luna of the pack. I hope I do not have to wait long, but I am willing to wait as long as she needs me too. I will not rush her. We work for a few hours and then decide it is time to head downstairs to go to lunch. I doubt she will come down, so I make sure that my mom goes to check on her and make sure she has food in the suite so if she gets hungry she has stuff to eat. I know my mom said she was going to make sure it was stocked with food and stuff, but I just want her to check to be sure it was taken care of. I do not want her to go hungry. I know she probably will not be comfortable coming downstairs to eat with the rest of the pack yet. It will probably be a few days until she decides to do that. And then I will need to figure out if I should announce her as my mate at that point or wait to let everyone know when she is more comfortable with it. I smile slightly to myself and then start going through paperwork again. I really want to get all this done so I can spend some time getting to know my mate. The guys all must have understood what i was trying to do because Jasper looks over at me and tells me to just go up and check on her. They were all laughing when I blushed. I smiled and said goodbye to them and then I headed out. I have a little pep in my step as I head to my suite to go check on my mate. While I was walking to the stairs to go up to the Alpha floor, I run into one of the omegas that is always following me around. I have a feeling she has a crush on me, but I have never given her false hope. “Hello Alpha. How are you today?” “I am doing very well, Sasha. I met my mate today, and I am actually headed up to check on her. She is resting, but I plan on bringing her down to meet the pack as soon as possible.” I notice a look of anger flash across her face, but she quickly masks it. “I am very happy for you, Alpha. That is wonderful news. I am sure everyone in the pack is going to be very excited about meeting her.” “Thank you, Sasha. I will see you later, I am sure. Have a nice day.” She bows and quickly walks off. Hmm, she might be a problem. I have a feeling she might try something. But I know that Rose will be able to handle herself. I mean, she lived on her own in the woods with Rogues for years, so I know she will be fine taking on an omega if she needs to. Even one as skilled in fighting as Sasha. I will be keeping an eye on this though. I did not want anyone to do anything to her when she just got here. I mean I do not want anyone to do anything to her in general, but especially not while she is still getting settled. I do not want her to think that all packs are like her last one. I still do not know what all happened to her there though. I will need to talk to her about it. I need to know if there is anything I could possibly do to help her if she has any lasting problems with that pack. I looked back to make sure that Sasha was gone, then headed up the stairs to the Alpha floor and headed to the door to the suite. I notice a cart full of food and smile. My mom definitely thought of everything. She must have had the omegas bring food up to fill the fridge for her. I open the door and bring the cart in so that I can fill the fridge. Now, let’s go check on my mate.
