Having my Effie girl and our son at our house for dinner was a very good night for me. I had missed my girl so f*****g much. I was honestly afraid to take my eyes off of her for fear of her disappearing on me again. I know that I spent most of the car ride there and back as well as diner starring at her face.
I was still amazed that I had a son. I had this tiny little human who would call me dad and who would rely on me to protect him. I hated that I had missed the pregnancy, birth, and the first year of his life. I wasn't able to be there and do midnight craving runs or rub Effie's ankles, legs, and feet. I would've helped her any way that I could.
Since I missed all of that with Veer, I'll just have to make sure that I'm there for the next baby that we have. And we will be
