12. Phone Call

Avani's POV:

"Hey, Haven't you reach your home yet?"

"I hope you reach your home at this time. Are you busy with something?"

"I think you're busy. Sent me a text if you want when you become free", I read all the three texts sent by Josh.

I was surprised at the same time amazed. I was thinking our conversation going to be over, and his text proves me wrong.

"Is he also showing interest to talk with me?", I thought with a happy mind.

"I came home a few hours before, and I was a little busy after coming home. I didn't expect that you're going to text me again", I write and send.

Unfortunately, I don't get any reply instantly that's means he is not on his phone.

I heard the sound of the knock from the door, and I open it.

"Why are you so late today?", I asked Dixxi who just entered into the home with an exhausted face.

"I went to one of my relative house, and she recently shifted here. She is so cunning. She asked me to help her to manage her things in a new house when she called me saying that she wants to meet me", Dixxi said in an angry voice.

"Why you're calling her cunning I think she is intelligent that she is able to set her things by you where you keep your things messy all the time", I said and laugh and Dixxi give me don't care look.

"Anyway come for dinner after taking shower", I said to Dixxi.

I was in a happy mood after a long time, so I was singing in a low tone while serving the food.

"What happened?", Dixxi asked me who is sitting on the couch and watching TV.

I look at her in confusion not knowing about what she is asking.

"Nothing. Why are you asking that?", I asked looking at her.

"Food is served, come", I again said her.

"It seems like you're in a good mood. What's the reason behind it?", Dixxi asked while eating her food.

"May I not allow to be in good mood?", I asked her back.

"It's rare seeing you in that mood nowadays. So tell me quickly what's the matter", Dixxi again said.

I don't know for which specific reason I was in a good mood but the text from Josh is quite a good reason behind my happy mood. But if I told that Dixxi she must make me crazy by her stupid talk.

"There is no hidden reason. My mood is good today that's it", I said after a while.

"Oh, I see. What about Josh? What is going on now? Is he again text you or something?", Dixxi said, and I started coughing with food in my mouth.

"Is she can read my face? Why the hell she again brings Josh here?", I thought in my mind while drinking water.

"Have I said anything that you wanted to hide from me?", Dixxi said and laugh.

"Shut your mouth Dixxi. Can't you have your dinner with peace? I think it was my fault to be in a happy mood", I said in an irritating tone and Dixxi started laughing more.

"Okay, I apologized. I will shut my mouth. Now complete your dinner", Dixxi said and stop her laughing.

I come out from the washroom changing my dress for sleep. Dixxi was sitting beside the window and doing something with the phone. I haven't noticed it was my phone in her hand.

I was applying lotion on my hand losing in my thought. But Dixxi's talking sound broke my thought. She's talking with herself in loud, and she was sounding dramatic.

"WOW! How sweet the beginning of a love story. Eagerly waiting for a message. Trying to break the anger. Sending sweet messages. Taking care of his beloved person. Become tensed. Oh my Gosh, It's so sweet", I heard Dixxi words and couldn't figure out what she actually wanting to mean about that.

"What are you saying?", I asked being curious.

"Avani I'm feeling a fresh smell of a new love story. Do you feeling that?", Dixxi told me which makes me more confused.

"Are you lose your mind? What are you talking?",I asked.

"You can't understand what I'm saying?", asked Dixxi and I nodded my hand no.

"Then listen. It must be sound familiar to you. I'm really sorry. I don't want to piss you off again. Thanks for not being angry. I'm on the road. Can I talk later?..........", Dixxi stopped when she saw, I was coming towards her.

I never thought Dixxi going to be checked my phone again. Now I understand her drama. She read all the conversation and assuming stupid things in her mind.

"Give my phone back Dixxi", I said Dixxi, and she run away from there with the phone.

"Why you didn't tell me when I asked you? I guess it right. Finally, Josh Hudson is the reason behind your happy mood", Dixxi said standing another corner of the room and laughing continuously.

"Dixxi there is nothing between us, believe me", I said.

"When I said there is something between you and Josh? About what nothing you're talking about darling?", Dixxi said, and I realized what I said.

"You're messing up my mind. Give me my phone back otherwise I'm not going to talk with you ever", I said in a warning tone.

"I can deal with that later but first tell me how you become so close with each other in the one day. I'm sure you literally wait for his message last night and today the whole day. Am I right?", Dixxi asked looking at my phone.

"You i***t give my phone", I said, throwing a pillow towards her.

"I will but accept that you already like Josh, and he is the only reason for your sweet singing today", Dixxi asked me.

"Are you insane? What should I like him? I just wanted him not to become angry with me once again. It's just a normal conversation", I said which was true.

"Oh really. Then I think Josh is interested in you. Maybe he started falling for you", Dixxi said not thinking about what she was saying.

"Dixxi are you become crazy? Why the hell is he going to fall for me? Is there a lack of a girl in London? Where he is and where am I? Just think before you speak", I said, being angry.

"So, you're in confusion whether he really likes you or not. Let's find out", Dixxi said and I give her a confused look not understand what she means. The next moment I saw, she was doing something on my phone.

"Dixxi don't dare to send him any stupid message again and give me my phone damn it", I said and again going to snatch my phone, but I failed.

"What the hell are you doing?",I shouted on Dixxi.

"Calling him", Dixxi said making me shocked.

"Hey Stop it. I say stop it Dixxi. What will he think? Oh my God it so embarrassing Dixxi", I said and again try my best to snatch my phone from Dixxi, and finally I able to get it back. But it was too late, Josh already received the call.

I looked at Dixxi in anger but she was laughing.

"Talk", Dixxi said in a whispering tone.

"What the hell I'm going to tell him? Why you call him?", I said as much as low tone as I can.

Without saying anything, Dixxi places the phone in my ear by snatching it again from me.

I was stunned hearing his sexy voice again and over the phone call, it's heard more seductive.

"Hello Avani", He again said.

"Hel....hello", I shuttered not knowing what to say.

"Is everything okay?", He asked.

"I'm sorry it's my friend who calls you. Please don't mind", I said and cut the call immediately while taking it from Dixxi's hand.

"Dixxi I'm done with your stupidity. Why you call.......", I stopped when I saw an incoming call from Josh.

I looked at Dixxi in surprise, and she started signaling me to receive it.
