14. Sudden Visit

Avani's POV:
"Good Morning, and have a good day ahead of you too:)", I sent and left my bed.
I went to the bakery in time. I also had put my phone in silent mode, so that I can't lose my concentration from work because if I hear text-sound then I must be lost on that.
When it was noon there was no customer in the bakery as it was lunchtime.
I was baking some cupcakes inside but suddenly Mrs. Roberts called me.
When I come out, I was stunned by seeing the person in front of me. Josh was standing and talking with Mrs. Roberts with a smiling face. When he saw my presence he looked at my direction and give me his signature smile which was breathtaking.
He was not his official suit. He was wearing a gray jacket on top of a white t-shirt and fit jeans pants with a pair of expensive sports shoes. He was looking more like a young college boy today and more handsome than ever. He was also holding a black cap in his hand.
I was observing him like a fool without saying a hello.
"Hi, Good Afternoon", Josh said in his heavenly voice. I feel like a stupid inside for looking at him continuously.
"Hel... Hello, Go... Good Afternoon", I shuttered because suddenly, I feel awkward thinking about our conversation through text, and lastly, phone call.
I think Mrs. Roberts also surprise my behavior because she was looking at me confusedly.
The next moment, the real thing came in my mind that why Josh came here. I started thinking that he may become here to ask for the bakery again.
I wasn't able to look at his eyes directly because that time I was too shy to do that but I managed to look at his eyes which was fixed on me.
"What makes you come here?", I asked, and the next moment, I find him laughing.
"Don't be afraid I do not come here for the bakery or something. I went to play golf and was passing this road in my way of office. So, I thought to meet with Mrs. Roberts and you", Josh explains the reason with a smiling face, and I feel relieved.
Maybe he caught me that I was afraid of the reason he came here.
Today Josh was seeming a totally different person comparing the other two days.
"It's very lovely as you decided to come here. I find your friends too. Do you want to taste our delicious pastry from our bakery?", Mrs. Roberts asked with her welcoming tone.
"Why not? I also wanted to buy some pastry from here", Josh replied her being happy.
"Avani can you please take Josh to the display glass so that he can choose?", Mrs. Roberts asked me when I standing there without any movement.
"Oh yeah of course", I agreed with a happy face.
"Please come this side", I said and Josh following from behind.
The display glass where pastry and cakes are placed was a bit far from the counter mainly in the baking area.
"Here's all and here is also a menu. You can choose from both", I said.
Josh was a few inches away from me, but he came towards me and stand beside me.
"Are you busy with your work?", Josh asked looking at the display glass.
"What?", I surprised because I didn't expect this question.
"I text you even Call you but you weren't answering any of them", He said, looking at me this time. I was feeling nervous under his gaze so closely.
"Mmmmm I..I..I was a bit busy in my work, so I silent my phone", I replied.
"You came here to ask me about that", I asked feeling that he was tensed about me.
He didn't say anything but smile.
"What's your favorite from all of them?", Josh asked me to change the topic.
"Why you asking that?", I asked being curious.
"Because I want to taste your favorite one", Josh replied which make me blush.
"I love red velvet and chocolate cakes", I said, reminding their taste in my mind.
"Okay then. Pack me both of the flavored pastry", Josh said with a smile.
When I placing the pastries in the box to pack, Josh was in front of me standing. I was feeling his intense gaze on me although I wasn't looking at him.
When I finished with the packing, I offered it to Josh with a smile on my face.
He takes it but he brushed his hand with mine. I shuddered under his touch as sparks erupt in my skin and tingles ran down my spine.
"Why his simple touch affecting me?", I thought and try to behave normally.
I looked at him but he was just smiling.
"Will be waiting for your reply and call", he said and left from my side.
Josh was going to pay Mrs. Roberts, but she stopped him saying that it is a thanks for him, and he doesn't need to pay.
Josh also accept it happily. He thanks, Mrs. Roberts.
Lastly, he turned to me and said to me "Bye". I also told him the same.
After that, he leaves from there also saying "Bye" to Mrs. Roberts.
Last two days I was disturbed by his presence but today the feeling was overwhelming, and I also want him to stay some more time with me.
Josh's POV:
After coming out of the bakery, I get into my car. I was feeling happy by meeting with Avani again and seeing her sweet behavior this time.
I was remembering her shy face when I intentionally touch her hand. I was sure she not going to reject me if I started behaving with her like a gentleman.
I thought maybe it will be bored to text her but it seems interesting. She is too naive that she can trust someone easily which is a good point for me because It will be easy for me to earn her trust then.
In the car, when I was thinking about Avani, I got a sudden text from her.
"You leave your cap here", I saw her text.
I realize that I really leave my cap in the bakery. It's must be normal because every second I was busy looking at Avani.
"Yeah, I also thinking that after not finding the cap in my hand", I text her back.
"Now what about the cap?", Avani asked me back.
"Keep it to you and give me back next time when you meet again. Otherwise, you can keep it for forever", I sent with few wink emoticon.
This time I didn't find any text back. I started thinking that maybe I make her uncomfortable by my text.
Suddenly, I saw a new text, but it wasn't related to the previous matter.
"Do you taste the pastries?", I saw her text and she reminded me about the pastries about which I almost forgot.
It was beside me. I open the box and take a bite of red velvet cake. I was fully wondered by the taste. It was beyond delicious. I can't help myself to take one bite more.
"I taste the red velvet one it's amazing. Did you make it?", I asked not sure if she made it or Mrs. Roberts.
"Thanks for liking it. And yes I bake those pastries", I find her reply and thought she has a magic hand for baking.
"I might bring more of this if I knew it was made by magical hand", I texted her.
"You're flirting now", Avani replied.
I saw I already reached my office, so I texted her bye with a sad emoticon, and she replied to me bye.
I was laughing in my mind thinking about the foolishness of Avani. The time is not so far when she going to become fully fool by my fake love for her.
I went to my office room and found Natasha waiting there.
"What's up?", I said in a cheering tone.
"Nearly 2 hours ago you said to me you're coming. Is it take you 2 hours to reach office?", Natasha said and I remember which literally vanished from my mind.
"Where are you for so long? I think you don't even go to your house also as you're not in your official suit", Natasha said and now she was seeming like a detective who makes laugh.
Natasha gives me a confused look not finding the reason for my laugh.
"You become a detective day by day, Nate. Why are you so inquiring about me? It's not the first time, I'm late", I questioned her.
"What's about that girl?", Natasha questioned me back without replying to me.
"Which girl?",I asked not understanding of which girl she was talking about.
"Why? Your new girl Avani", Natasha said in a sarcastic tone.
"Not again. Tell me why you're waiting for me?",I said, being pissed off by Natasha unusual question again about Avani.
"I don't understand you always talk about other girls by yourself but in a matter of Avani you didn't want to talk a single word", Natasha said in an angry tone.
"Nate it's irritating if you start quarreling with me every day. I never expect this behavior from you", I said in a shouting tone.
Without saying anything Natasha leaves from my office room.
I don't know why I can't make myself talk about Avani with Natasha. I decided to tell her my plan soon but not now.
