Fenrir was playing with his handheld video game in the high towers of the main castle. He had been warned by Katy about the charge of electronic equipment, such as his cell phone, since on a certain day that the device was discharged he was looking for some way to recover the charge again. Katy pointed out that some objects were able to recover the charge with magical energy, but that he should be careful, as an overload could happen and simply cause the equipment to explode.
In fact, he should have been looking for some sort of parchment-related thing or something, but Fenrir was procrastinating, that was what he did best, perhaps.
"Why do you like it here so much?" Katy asked appearing there after a while.
"It's cold and mysterious. A cool, slow wind blows in our faces in this place. I come here and I remember simpler times, I remember my home, my family, situations I went through with my friends before we came to this world. Basically, I come here to reflect on several things, it's nice, besides, I can see almost the entire campus of the academy from here, accompanied by these gargoyle statues, I feel like a kind of Batman."
"You're almost always alone here, don't you think it's lonely?
Fenrir smiled.
"That's a plus point sometimes."
"Well, actually… we're alone here…" Katy was interrupted by the slamming of the tower door. It was Victoria. She was tired and panting "we were..." Katy continued, looking disappointed. Victoria walked over to the two of them.
"Fenrir" the girl said, "Ethan… he…" she was very breathless.
"Hey, hey. Calm down" Fenrir tried to calm her down, "what's up.
"Elza. She said that Ethan had a Fair Fight that he ended up losing, even though it's a Fair Fight he's really hurt. That's when I found out that he wasn't the only one of our friends to lose a fight today."
"What you mean?" Fenrir frowned.
"Seraph was accompanying Miguel when he saw his fight, Miguel is also badly wounded and was poisoned. Sam and Arthur were also there."
Fenrir came down from where he was sitting, in order to go to the infirmary to see his friends, he was also going to look for Jack and tell him about the situation of the others, moreover it looked like an orchestrated attack, it was too much of a coincidence that all friends participated in fights on the same day at such close times.
"Come on Victoria, come with me, let's go tell Jack" Fenrir said as he walked towards the door, but before he got there, someone said smirking and saying:
"Finally you moved, you lazy little rat." On the cone-shaped roofs of the castle, the spire of that tower, where there was a spike and a cross-shaped weathervane, was a boy watching Fenrir from above. He jumped from there in front of Fenrir's path and rose with a confident smile on his face. Victoria and Katy looked at that guy worriedly. "I've been here, watching you the whole time to see if you made a move and were going to do your chores, but no, you just sat here the whole time, wearing headphones and playing that silly little game of yours." He was an apparently fifteen-year-old boy, with yellow hair sticking up and a strand falling down the middle of his forehead. He had a serious expression, like a time bomb, waiting to explode, with serious eyes with different colors.
"Could you step out of the way, kindly?" Fenrir asked, wanting to pass.
"But what's the rush? We just met. Oh yeah, you must be worried about your little friends, right? The beating must have been... pretty painful." He made a noise with his mouth as if mocking something painful.
Fenrir frowned. There was a menacing power coming from that guy.
"Get out of the way," he said coldly.
"I was going to make you a proposal, you know? A good proposal for both of us, but the truth is... I don't like you. I didn't like you from the first moment I saw you and I know a lot about you, chosen of the darkness."
Fenrir felt the ground open at his feet, felt his head light and spinning. He couldn't show nervousness, or he would be confirming it.
"Oh, great, I've got a fan," he said, making a sound of laughter through his teeth.
"A fan? I would say a I'm more like a enemy."
"I don't have time for this. I'll give you an autograph later." Victoria and Katy laughed, and the boy, realizing this, puffed up with rage.
"Who do you think you are?"
"Your idol. And you, my fan. Okay, I'll give you a quick autograph. What's your name again? To put it in the autograph."
"Brandon Myrkem, now your worst nightmare, Fenrir Silvster." Saying this, he pushed Fenrir, one hand on his chest, and the chosen one felt a slight shock. He thought it was an impression.
"Really, man?" Fenrir just chuckled, "My worst nightmare? Was I supposed to be scared? It's just, I don't know if you know, this one is kind of a cliché."
"I'll give you a chance to prove yourself and come out of this not-so-hurt" Brandon held up his Student Bracelet, "Fair Fight, that's it, or I'll attack you right here. If you try to run, I'll catch you, but in a fair fight you have a chance to... not be in a coma or something."
"Whoever you are, boy, I won't let you do this." Katy said in a cold voice.
"We're three against one, see?" Victoria asked, also seriously.
"Really?" Brandon chuckled, "Do you, little boy, with all that toughness have to be protected by these girls? Man, your friends might have taken a good beating, but at least they were brave enough to take it, which you're not. Maybe it is because a couple of round things ain't quite well developed on you yet, you know, down there."
"It's really hopeless, fans are hard, the guy is even thinking about my round things, this is getting a little weird, but okay" Fenrir sighed and changed from a mocking face to a serious one "it was your friends who beat us mine? Okay, I guess I'll have to give you an autograph with my fists!" He growled.
"That's how you say it." Brandon smirked and Fenrir immediately accepted Fair Fight's request.
"Fenrir this guy can be pretty strong." Victoria warned.
"I'm sorry Victoria, but I'm going to ask you not to meddle." Fenrir replied without looking back to where Victoria was.
The chosen one made the first move, which he usually didn't do. Fenrir then tried to punch Brandon, who deftly defended him. Brandon, palms open, struck Fenrir in the chest, sending the boy staggering backwards. Soon after, Brandon fired a punch at Fenrir, who narrowly dodged and attempted a kick, but the blond caught the blow and his leg and kicked the other, causing Fenrir to fall. Brandon didn't even allow Fenrir to get up, and hit him in the chest, eliciting screams from his opponent.
"Fenrir, this fight will lead to nothing." Victoria warned once more, but Katy spoke;
"He made his decision, I don't like to see it either, but he told us not to interfere."
"Right" Fenrir stood up, determined to win "ECLIPSE HARPOON!!" He yelled, summoning his offensive shadow against Brandon.
"LIGHTNING SHELTER!!" Yelled Brandon, sending up columns of sparks and eletctric discharge around him, causing Fenrir's attack to dissipate. "THUNDER FIST!!" Brandon yelled, advancing with his fist thundering with electricity. The attack hit Fenrir squarely, and Fenrir was thrown away, and if it wasn't for the tower wall, he would have been hurled out of the castle. The chosen one was finished.
"Damn, he's actually quite strong..." The chosen one thought, "I didn't face all those things to lose to a mere high school." Fenrir focused all his power. "I will finish you". The power emanated a sinister aura, a strong shadow permeated the boy's fists and a purplish aura seemed to smoke out of his skin. Fenrir came forward with all that power in hand and then cried out:
"NIGHT WOLF CLAWS!!"
"LIGHTNING ARMOR!" He screamed as he was enveloped by a powerful electrical charge, not around his body but covering him like real armor, Fenrir's claws tried and even tore a part of the electrical 'armor' but not enough to hurt Brandon, in fact that discharge went through Fenrir's body and wounded him. Soon after, an even more powerful volley thundered in Brandon's hand "THUNDER FIST!!" Brandon punched Fenrir's attack, crushing it and causing it to dissipate. The magic from the Chosen's hands had been dispelled in several flashes, that attack had wounded the boy, but it was meant more to dispel the blow and leave Fenrir helpless. Fenrir smiled, for he knew it was over, and Brandon knew it too.
"The fight's over," Katy said, "that's enough Fenrir, you lost."
"Not yet boy" Brandon said coolly, already knowing the situation was all in his favor, "you're still on your feet and as much as you admit you lost, I think you should be with your friends in the infirmary."
"You win, what more do you want?" Victoria asked.
"Are the Six Warriors really pathetic to the point of feeling sorry for them?" Brandon teased, "What I want is a complete victory, for him to understand that his best alternative is to join me and my allies. And then boy, will you have the courage to take the attack and lose with honor, or will you hide in your mom's skirts?"
"Stand back" he asked to the girls gently "this fight is mine. I'm fine." But it wasn't. In addition to the beating he took, that son of a g*n kept talking bullshit, making him even angrier. But he couldn't do much. Fenrir took a deep breath, he hated having to fight, it sucked, but he hated having to lose even more. "If it's to be lost, let it be insane!" Fenrir chuckled and then lunged with the last of his strength on Brandon, screaming to gain strength and courage.
"DEATHLY LIGHTNING!!" Yelled Brandon, summoning a straight, yellowish-light electrical charge, like a powerful bolt, that streaked toward Fenrir. The boy heard a final hum and then everything went dark.
