Chapter Thirteen Sydney followed Shawn to the kitchen, the pain easing a little. This wasn’t what she’d expected of the day. She could kill Corrin. Okay, maybe not kill him, she wasn’t suicidal, but he better look out when they left. This was meant to be her day, not his. “Well? Aren’t you going downstairs?” Shawn grabbed milk from the fridge and a mug from the draining rack. “I guess.” She hesitated. “Are you coming down too?” Shawn shrugged and continued to make his coffee. Sydney watched him a moment longer before the pain made her hurry to the back door. She was halfway down the stairs when Corrin looked behind him and met her gaze.
