CHAPTER THREE
A month later, in the heat of summer, Joe and Melinda decided to have a barbecue.
They weren't friendly with too many of the neighbors, and when Melinda first suggested having the barbecue, and her black-haired husband thought it would be a good idea, they both decided it would be fun to invite Bobby and Tina.
"After all," Joe was saying, as they all sat outside sunning, and he was checking on the steaks, "it's a bore to barbecue for two. And since you are not only our closest neighbors, but also our closest neighborhood friends, we decided to invite only you two."
"Not to mention that steak prices have skyrocketed," Tina laughed.
