Jack and Luke are sitting in the kitchen, silent. Cas had brought them back home, and he did the best he could to heal her, but with him giving a few bags of blood to Lucas, he’s become weak and hasn’t had time to regenerate his power. Ally has been sleeping for three days, and she’s lost a lot of blood. They gave her what was left of Caspian’s to try and help her blood pressure get back to normal. A few rooms over, they hear a mans voice, yelling for them to let him out. It’s Christian. Jack and Caspian listened to Ally and knocked him out, and brought him back to the bunker so she could decide what she wants to do with him. They don’t know why, as she’s fought vampires before and never thought twice about cutting their head clean off.
“I don’t get why he’s still alive. I’ll be in and out in five seconds and it’ll be over. This is driving me insane.” Lucas says as he stands up and begins to pace back and forth, hands crossed tightly in front of his chest.
“It’s her call. After what you did, you owe it to her to do what she says. Guaranteed if she... when, she wakes up, if she finds out you didn’t listen to her, it’ll make it that much harder for her to listen to what you have to say. Take a walk, get drunk, punch a wall, I don’t care. You’re not going anywhere near either of them right now. Deal with it.” Jack says as he stands up, and walks towards the med room. “I’m going to check on her, so keep yourself busy elsewhere.”
“Since when did you grow a pair?” Furious, he slammed his hands onto the table.
“Since you decided to act like a child. When you get confused or things don’t go the way you want, you throw a fit and lash out. I’m sick of it Lucas. Time to grow up.” Jack walks down the hall toward the medical room, and ignores Lucas as he yells at him.
Jack walks into the med room, and sees that Ally is finally awake. She starts to sit up when Jack walks over, and tells her to take it easy and rest.
“I’m okay. Just a little dizzy. Can you pass me some water?” She holds the side of her head as she wipes a tear from her eye.
Jack picks up the glass and hands it to her. “Yeah sure...” he said with a worried glance at the stitches on her cheek, and the gauss on her arm, and the stab wound in her leg. He grabs some gauze and starts to replace her bandage, making sure there’s no infection.
“Jack, I can do it. It’s not that hard.” She says as she reaches for the wrap.
“Just let me do this. It’s okay to let others help you from time to time. Why were you crying? Are you in pain?” He says in a hushed tone.
“You mean besides my cuts and bruises and the miiiiinor stab wound? No. I’m fine. Thank you for saying what you did. Thank you for listening to me.” She says as she lays her hand on his arm. “Where’s Christian?” She says as she fixes her hair up into a bun.
“He’s chained up in the back room. He’s there for whenever you get better.”
“Good. I’m going to need some vervain, a blade, and a wooden stake.” Ally’s face turned dark, and she threw her blanket off and removed her IV. She got dressed, not caring that Jack was in the room. After all, there were plenty of times he’s helped her change into pyjamas after nights of partying.
“Al, you should rest. You’ve been out for three days. Give yourself some time.” He said as she pulled her pants up.
She winced, forgetting about her leg, but doesn’t let Jack see it. “Three days? Awesome. I’m perfectly rested up. Are you going to the garden to get the vervain or am I?” She goes to walk towards the door, and turns back to face him after he doesn’t respond. “Jack?”
He sighs. “One condition. I’m going to be in the room, and if I feel you’re not ready to do what you need to do, I’m pulling you out. I’m not saying that because I don’t think you’re capable of doing it, I’m saying it because with the state you’re in, you shouldn’t be pushing yourself too hard. Deal?” He said as he stood up, and held his arm out.
“Deal.” She grabbed him half way up his arm, and him to her- a special handshake they created in university,- and he pulled her in for a hug. “Next time, at least take me with you so I don’t have to hear Lucas whine.” Jack says with a chuckle.
“Deal.”
Ally walks into the kitchen towards the fridge, and sees both Lucas and Caspian sitting at the table. “Hey Cas. Thanks for coming when I called. How’s it going?”
“Ally...?” Lucas looks up, and goes pale when he looks at her.
“I’ve got a few things to take care of, but when I’m done could you help me go over some Enochian runes and spells again? I haven’t studied in a while.” She walked over and leaned against the table, with her back to Lucas as she takes a sip of water.
“Of course. May I ask what it is you’re doing?” He says as he stands up.
“Settling an old score. It’s my turn to decide someone’s fate.” A dark expression crawls onto her face.
“Ally I don’t think you’re ready to move around so much yet... you’ve been out for-“ Ally spun around and threw her glass just past Lucas’ head, shattering against the wall behind him.
“DID I ASK FOR YOUR PERMISSION?” She said with a booming voice. “Don’t speak to me.” She walks away, but turns her head and says “Sorry Cas. I’ll see you in a bit.” Jack walks out with the vervain, and the three of them hear a pissed off Ally slam a door behind her.
“What the…” Jack looks at Lucas. “What did you do? I told you to leave her alone.” He said with a loud voice.
“I just said that I thought she wasn’t ready. My bad for caring.” He said as he walked over to sweep up the broken glass. “What you got there?”
“Vervain. She’s going to deal with Christian. I suggest you keep your distance, or she might deal with you next. With the mood she’s in, probably not the best idea. Especially since she has angel blood in her system right now.” Jack walks down the hall after Ally. Lucas gets up, throws the glass in the garbage, and storms off to his room. Caspian is left alone, confused on what to do.
Caspian sighs. He gets up, goes into the library and sits there, waiting for Ally to return.
