Hearing Soraya's answer, David was stunned. He knew that this girl was hiding something, though she kept denying and trying to explain that she was fine, but the look in her eyes made it easy for David to guess.
David took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He smiled a little, trying to understand the slightly complicated Soraya. Because in the end, he realized that he had no right to know everything about Soraya.
"Okay, I understand. If you say that, I can't do anything right?" He said. Soraya, knowing that David was disappointed kept her secret. Even though she desperately wanted to tell David everything, including the terror that Josh, Kerry's lover gave her.
After finishing the coffee they ordered, David and Soraya continued their activities. Go to the nearest cinema and watch a movie together.
"Have you booked the tickets?" Soraya asked. She who saw that today was quite crowded was a little worried if they didn't get tickets.
"I already bought it, you don't have to worry!"
"I'm grateful!"
"Then, I'll get some popcorn and a soda. You wait here a minute, I'll be right back!"
"No, wait a minute!" Soraya exclaimed while pulling David's hand who was almost walking towards the food queue.
David immediately stopped his steps, he felt something strange inside him. A thumping loud enough that he could even hear in a crowd like this.
David looked back, glanced at Soraya who was standing behind him. He looked at her awkwardly with red cheeks.
"He's so cute." David thought. Heat began to spread all over his body and up to his face. For a moment David felt a strange feverish sensation.
"Yes, what?" David asked nervously. He felt so ashamed of himself for acting like a man with absolutely no dating experience.
Realizing David's awkwardness, Soraya hastily let go of her hand. David immediately lowered his head, stared at the floor and closed his eyes. He felt very ashamed.
The two young people froze in awkwardness for three minutes. Standing in the midst of people walking around and somehow neither David nor Soraya, they both hoped that no one they knew was in this place and saw the two of them acting like inexperienced kids.
"Da-David, I think I'd better get the popcorn and drinks. You've already bought tickets to the movies and bought me coffee, so I guess-"
"I refuse!" David said as he tried his best to hide his blushing face.
"W-why?"
"I asked you to accompany me to the cinema, so let me buy some snacks for us."
"No, I don't agree! I can't let you pay for everything. So at least let me buy some drinks and Popcorn!" Soraya said loudly. She said it with such enthusiasm that the people around her could hear her words.
David was silent, staring at Soraya with her lips starting to come together to the corners of her lips. Yes, David really wanted to laugh. Not only her, the people who were listening also felt the same way.
"So-Sora, I-"
Seeing David's reaction, Soraya realized that she had just done something embarrassing. She felt much more embarrassed than before.
"I-I'm sorry!"
"Hahaha... you don't need to apologize. I'll buy popcorn and soda. After that, you can treat me to dinner. We can go to a burger joint after this. Do you agree?"
"Yes alright-"
Just as Soraya had not finished speaking, Soraya felt a familiar scent. The scent of perfume that she recognized as the man's scent. The mysterious man who made her unable to stop thinking about him.
"This scent?" She thought. Soraya turned to her side. She saw the figure of Robert Stanley, the mysterious lecturer walking past them with a cold expression.
Soraya was stunned, unconsciously her eyes continued to follow where the figure went. He looks so different, so flashy and makes it easy for him to become the center of attention.
Robert entered the corridor leading to the theater room, Soraya wondered, what was that man doing in this place?
"Soraya? Soraya?" David tried to summon her who entered deeper into the world of illusions created by her mind that so worshiped that figure.
"What is he doing here?" She muttered. It seemed that Soraya was still unaware of David's call.
"Soraya?" This time, David said her name in a louder voice and admittedly, David felt a little annoyed.
"Yes? David? W-what's wrong? Are you talking to me?" Soraya who had returned from her subconscious immediately asked a classic question that made David's mood bad.
"It's okay, forget it! We have to go in now, the movie is about to start!"
"O-okay! How's the popcorn and soda?"
"I'll buy it! You can go in first and find our seats!" David said as he walked towards the queue of popcorn sellers.
Seeing David's strange attitude made Soraya feel guilty. She couldn't believe that she was so focused on observing her professor that she ignored David's call.
Soraya followed David's words to go in first and find their seats. In a fairly dark room, Soraya tried to find a seat with the same number written on the ticket. Their seats are in the middle row.
"This is it, I found it! David...!" Soraya waved her hand at David who walked towards her carrying a bucket of popcorn and two cups of soda.
"Thank you!" Soraya smiled awkwardly. She hoped David wasn't mad at her anymore.
David ignored her and sat quietly in his chair. Seeing David's attitude, Soraya could already guess that David was still angry with her.
Confused, Soraya sat beside David, occasionally glancing at him who focused on the movie screen that was about to start.
As the film begins, David hands Soraya a soda and popcorn. Soraya accepted it and smiled, thinking that David was in a better mood now.
However, the scent appeared again. It felt so close that it felt right next to her. Soraya was stunned, she knew that Robert Stanley was not the only person who smelled this perfume. But at least, Soraya is sure that this scent is not often used by many people.
"This smell, really?" Her heart was pounding as she began to realize that this scent was coming from someone sitting right next to her. Soraya nervously turned to the side to prove her conjecture.
Her eyes widened when she saw the figure sitting quietly beside her. Staring at the screen with a very mysterious cold gaze. Soraya found it hard to breathe, she was so nervous that her body was shaking.
"Is it really him?"
