Does It Hurt?

*Axle's POV* When she tells me what that sorry excuse for a human said to her, it takes all of my self-control to not go inside and beat the s**t out of him. The only reason I don’t is because I feel like, in this moment, she needs me. Or maybe I’m just using that as an excuse. Either way, I will beat the s**t out of him later. I take her hand and we start walking away from the school. I lace our fingers together and I can tell she’s a bit surprised by this but doesn’t stop me.  “So, I’m curious, why didn’t you just tell everyone you didn’t sleep with him?” She shrugs and says, “If it came down to my word against his, I knew which one of us people would believe. So I decided to make him regret it instead.”  “Why crying?” She shrugs and says, “I just needed something that was good enough gossip, and believable enough for people to spread and that also made him look like a little bitch.” “And crying when he cums was the first thing that popped into your head?” “No, small d**k was first but I thought that was a bit trivial and too easy to disprove. Crying was second.” “Right, yeah. I’ll just make a mental note real quick to never get on your bad side.” She smiles up at me and I can’t get over how beautiful that smile is. I want to make her smile like that all the time.  We continue to walk hand in hand for a while when she sighs and says, “Well we should probably go back. My lunch is at school and I really shouldn’t be skipping classes.” I nod and we turn around and walk back towards the school. When we get close, she pulls her hand out from mine and says, “Thank you, for this.” “Of course. Are you gonna be okay by yourself for a bit? I have something to take care of.” “Yes, Axle, I’m gonna be okay to walk to my locker and then to the cafeteria,” she says sarcastically. I put my hands up in surrender and say, “Alright, geez. I was just checking.” She rolls her eyes and walks away. I wait a few seconds before I storm in behind her, heading straight for the cafeteria. I spot Emmett at his normal table with a bunch of the other football players, when he sees the murderous expression on my face he stands up and starts backing up towards the wall.  “Woah, dude, stop-“ My fist connecting with his jaw stops his sentence. He ducks my next punch and then gets in a right hook to my cheek. I charge at his middle and knock him onto the floor before I start punching his face. I only get 2 in before I’m being ripped off of him by a few football guys and teachers come running over. I see another two guys helping Emmett to his feet.  “What on earth is going on here? You two, get him to the nurse!” he says, pointing to the two guys half-carrying Emmett. They start heading out the door and he points to me and says, “You, principal’s office. Now!” I shake my arms loose and give the two guys who were holding me back a glare as they hesitantly release me, “You two wanna be next?” They raise their hands and shake their heads. “Mr. Decker! Now!” As I’m sitting off to the side of the reception area in front of the principal’s office, waiting for him to come out and get me, I see a frantic looking Six run into the room, and her eyes scan around until they stop on me and she walks over and sighs before taking a seat. “Are you okay?” I nod and say, “I’m fine.” “Cleo told me what happened. I leave you alone for 5 minutes and you go around beating the s**t out of people.” “He deserved it.” I see mild amusement on her face when she says, “And you asked me if I was going to be okay alone? Apparently I should’ve been the one asking that question.” I crack a small smile and I catch her eyes flicker to my cheek. “Does it hurt?” “No, not really.” She then sighs again, sits back in her chair and pulls a sandwich out of her bag.  “What are you doing?”  “Eating lunch, obviously.” “You don’t have to wait with me.” “I’m going to though. And I’m going to come in there with you and explain to him that you were defending me so he’ll go easy on you.” “You really don’t-“ “And you really didn’t have to beat Emmett to a pulp for me. This is not open for discussion Axle. Now here, eat.” She hands me half of her sandwich and I don’t try to object because I can tell from the determination on her face that I’m going to lose that fight.  When we finish our sandwiches, she pulls out a granola bar, breaks it in half and hands one side to me. We hear the bell ring and I say, “Last chance to get out of here.” “Nope, not gonna happen.”
