I heaved a sigh of relief at Virgo's words.
"I'll be grateful man. You've always been the one I come to for when its about to go down and I really need you to help me keep this under control."
Virgo sat on the desk and leaned forward. He unbuttoned his sleeve and rolled it up to reveal a pentagram tattoo on his arm. I was taken aback.
"You see, I have powers of my own too. You wanna know how they work?"
Before I could react, Virgo grabbed my hand. The moment he made contact, his hand started glowing. I screamed out in agony as an excruciating pain shot up my arm and spread to my whole body, negating any control I had over it. I could only look on in terror, eyes gaping, and mouth wide open in a soundless scream as Virgo tightened his grip on me. I could feel myself slipping away as he continued absorbing the energy emanating from my body. Finally released, I slid to the floor helplessly, unable to move as he stood up and walked back to his chair.
"Like I said, I'm going to help you. And I just did." He rolled down his sleeve and buttoned it back. "I've relieved you of your abilities, and they are mine now to control. I'm going to use them in a much better way, on a far grander scale then you could ever think of. I'm going to make the world a better place. And I'm going to rule it."
I was drifting on the edge of unconsciousness as he continued his villain monologue. I could hear his footsteps faintly as he approached.
"Go to sleep now Kay. You won't remember a thing when you wake, and the world will be better for it."
His boot was on my face and as soon as he brought it down, I felt a relief as the darkness welcomed me.
