CHAPTER ONE
"I don't know how I did it, but I think I just destroyed the universe."
I paused for effect, expecting him to burst into laughter. But Virgo just sat there, arms folded, with a deadpan expression on his face.
"Do you understand me man??? I'm freaking out here! And its a bad thing because I can feel it happening again!"
"I understand you well enough Kaiyo. According to you, you now have godly powers which you don't yet understand."
"Yes, and..."
"And you can somehow make things happen with just a thought, right?"
I nodded and before I could speak again he continued.
"And you think you just destroyed the universe by accident?"
"Yes, exactly man, and that's why I came back in time to this moment to tell you. We need to find a way to stop this from happening again!"
Virgo sat forward, and put his hands on the desk in front of him. His face looked as grim as before, but there was now a small spark of interest in his eyes.
"Calm down Kay. Now you need to tell me exactly how it happened. How did you get this power?"
So I did. I told him of the strange object I found while digging in the yard. How I thought it was just a shiny trinket and picked it up. And how a powerful blast of purple energy engulfed me the instant I touched the relic. I excitedly explained how amazing it felt when I discovered my new abilities. And that I started using it to do anything I wanted.
I told him how my powers had started overloading and causing me pain and how I freaked out and let everything out. I tried explaining how overwhelming the darkness that followed was and how frightened it made me. In my desperation then, I rewound time and sought him out. All this while, Virgo nodded intermittently and his expression remained stagnant.
Pulling off my shirt, I showed him the strange marks on my body which appeared whenever I used my power and I told him of the intense pain it bode. I demonstrated by shattering the glass plaque on the wall and reassembling it without a slight gesture. There was a glow on my wrist as a new star shaped mark appeared instantly. The pain was searing and it felt like my arm was being branded with hot iron, but it stopped as soon as the glow faded away. But the mark remained.
I caught the slightest glimmer of surprise on Virgo's face but it was gone as quickly as it appeared.
"Okay, I believe you now", he said as he stood up and walked around the desk. "And I'm going to help you."
