Present   Ada jumped when the phone in her hand dinged. She had bought a phone with a prepaid plan from the rest stop they were last at. She had dialed one of her best friends, Rachael. She didn’t need to pull out the piece of paper she wrote the number on just in case. She knew all her friends’ numbers by heart. But sometimes stress can greatly affect the body, especially the memory. So, she was relieved to be able to perform one task right. She had told her friend in vague phrases of what was going on since she had ears all around her. She couldn’t just announce her name, and loudly proclaim she was going to the airport next.
