Present  Considering how much anxiety Ada felt when she fell asleep, she woke up the next morning in much better spirits. The day started out very normal. She had breakfast with Murien and Anne as if they had done that every morning their whole lives. Again, Ada found herself wishing that they had been her parents instead. She wondered what her life would have been like if she had grown up under their caring hands instead. No, she wouldn’t have made the friends she had, nor won the lottery and had the opportunities that she made for herself. She wondered if that was the universe trying to balance things out for her since she missed out on the chance of having sweet souls like these raise her. And she found herself wondering momentously just how many blessings were worth the blessing
