DAISY'S POV
I stared back at Kyle, shocked.
"You're still coming with me?" I asked as my eyes refused to believe what I was seeing.
Kyle parted his lips at me. "I gave you my word," he whispered.
I released a shudder in that moment and I felt the butterflies in my stomach take flight.
"Besides, it's too dangerous for you to go alone. Someone might try to jump you or hurt you. I need to be there to protect you," he concluded.
I swallowed hard and blinked continuously. That same question that had been plaguing my mind since Kyle decided to involve himself with everything that had to do with me came back.
Why?
"Come on, let's leave. We don't have much time to waste. My mother already took most of it," Kyle reminded us as he began to walk away.
