My heart broke a million times in that second as I watched her go with him.
Seeing them together meant so many things all in one. My wolf began to twist and churn in agony. Neither of us liked what we had seen.
"We need to get out of here. We can't alert them of our presence and they cannot know that we know where they are or they'll escape," Rick stated.
I crawled away in defeat. None of us said anything again as we walked away. I figured that we were still shocked by what we had seen.
It had been different when my father had pointed her out as his murderer. We had not actually seen her do it but this time, we had seen her mingling with the enemy. It was not clear that she had been playing us this entire time.
