DAISY'S POV
My heart sank at his choice of words.
One would think that after getting threatened by and facing death today, I would not be moved by his words but it was wrong. Kyle's words shook me to the core.
"I— I don't understand," I stuttered. Perhaps talking was going to buy me more time, until someone fell from the sky and came to my rescue. At least, that was what I wanted to believe.
I felt my weak wolf twist and churn with fear.
"You don't need to understand anything else. You have just one f*****g task and that's to save my brother," Kyle spat in that authoritative voice he possessed.
