DAISY'S POV
I lifted my head high the moment I acknowledged that it was him.
"There you are," Marcus announced and walked into the room, accompanied by Pevia.
He suddenly stopped when he saw me. There was an expression of awe in his eyes, which was strange. Why was he awed to see me?
I bowed my head at him. He did the same.
"I came as soon as you ended the call," he began. "I'm sorry that I could not visit you at the hospital."
Kyle smiled at him. "It's no problem. You tried to meet me but the guards did not let you in. I totally understand."
He stopped and looked in my direction before turning back to Kyle. "I suddenly feel as if this is no normal meeting. Why did you want to see me?"
