Emancipator's Marriage

Aylilith had chosen to become the wife of the Emancipator of war in exchange for the survival of her generation from a whole new round of dictatorial takeover.   Liandreda might be free from the shackles of its past, but the new leaders have anticipated its ending and beginnings. It's not yet ready to be free when it was devastated by its own stupidity and government.   The rules were simple: Obey the law and if a mistake is done, just know the motto   The equal trial is for all and a befitting punishment is for you.   But it's hard when she's walking on eggshells.   Evans seems to make it hard for her to understand how things will never be the same again, it's a tug of war of her morals, conflicts, and reality.   She's the Emancipator's wife, and it's the marriage that keeps her as one. She makes the face, she puts up the smile, she keeps everyone charmed to her image and it's what matters to society when the husband is a nonchalant tyrant behind her back beheading people every ten to twenty minutes for the 'greater' good.   To her late realization, it's not only the marriage the Emancipator wants from her.
