Forbidden affair.

Chapter 3.

The next morning, they were lying on the bed still necked, covered with a blanket. Ashley was the first to wake up, and the memories of last night flashed back into her head making her face full of smiles. Normally, most ladies was be disappointed at themselves for having s*x with a guy who they had just met, but in the case of Ashley she wasn't. He had saved her life because only heaven knows how long she would have been in that pit. Adding to that, he was handsome and was good in bed.

She turned and looked at him lying next to her, she could see his muscular body. He was still fast asleep. She looked at his cute face as he looked almost more handsome while asleep. Her desire was rising again as she was also feeling the strong, inseparable bond with him. With the aroused feeling, she kissed him on the lips while his eyes were still close.

Then he opened his eyes to see the beautiful angel that had kissed him. Her beauty was well seen now that the lights were up, and the sun rays that shone through the window into the room.

"Morning Jasper," she greeted him with a smile as his eyes opened.

He instantly recalled the events of last night too and returned the greeting too, "Morning my love." He could notice now that the relationship he had been avoiding for a very long time was inevitable, and that fear was gradually creeping in.

The fear which he was having was the fear of losing the one he loved. He was the son of Raymond Parsons the Dragon King, so he had seen how the death of his mother had affected his father negatively, so that was the same thing was scared of. He did not want to lose the love of his life and turn out to be feared by the entire world just as his father because ever since his mother's death, the only the dragon had derived pleasure and satisfaction in was to conquer kingdoms and nations until he found Ashley in Erellan.

Well, despite the fear he was having in him, he seemed to have comfort as he recalled that his father had just seen another love, which he had brought home. So he termed his meeting Ashley as a thing of double celebration.

So he said to her, "I know this is crazy to ask because we have just met, but I have this inbound feeling that you are mine, so I would like to know…. Will you marry me?"

From the way he had started his sentence, Ashley already knew where he was driving at, so happiness filled her heart as she saw him to be her dream of a happy life come through, so she made no delays in answering his question. "Yes…. Yes… I will marry you." She was overwhelmed with joy as she wrapped her arms around him, as they kissed.

She did not mind that she was already married to the dragon King. What she cared about was that she had seen the love of her life, who would treat her well. Her intention was that they will both leave Ocalis to somewhere very far, somewhere the dragon lord will never have to see her nor will her father and brother.

Jasper was happy that she agreed to marry him. He had done something really crazy by asking her to be his bride but she did something even crazier by saying.

"Let me take you to my father so that he can give us his blessings."

"Let's travel the world after our marriage?" She requested that as the strategy she wanted to put in play so that they would leave Ocalis and go far away from the dragon King.

"That would not be a problem. We shall travel round the world if that is what you want." Jasper agreed once because to him it was only traveling the world as he would some day have to come back and rule his kingdom. "We should get dressed," he added.

Then they both got up from the bed and put on their clothes again to leave the inn.

When they came before the palace of Ocalis, Ashley was surprised as she stopped in shock. She could not take another step.

Then Jasper noticed the strange way she had left his hands and stopped walking so he wanted to know what the problem was. "Ash," he shortened her name in a very sexy way, "are you alright?" He was wearing a confused look because he could not interpret the look on her face.

"Why are we here? Is this not the castle of the dragon King?" She asked even when she could recognize the place very well.

"Yes it is," Jasper was honest with her. He was thinking that her reason for stopping was because everyone was scared of coming to the castle of Ocalis because of his father's ruthless nature, especially strangers. "Don't worry, my father would not hurt you. I give you my word." He gave her assurance, still in ignorance.

Ashley was more surprised and in fear as she heard him say that the King was his father. She was short of words to say because she now knew that magnitude of what was going. Though she did not like the dragon king and was seeking for means to end her marriage with him, she could see that they had committed a great abomination, because he literally was now her stepson though older than her.

Jasper still did not understand why she could not take any step even after assuring her that his father would not hurt her. "I know the world fears my father, but this is the best time to introduce my angel to him since he is in a happy mood because of his new wife, my stepmother." Jasper was making her reason why she should not be afraid of coming with him to see his father.

Then Ashley was able to know from the way he was sounding that he truly loved her the way she felt for him, so it was time she applied wisdom to make sure nothing comes in-between them. "Swear that you will not leave me for any reason. You will continue to love me and I will be yours and yours alone forever."

"I promise to always love you. Nothing will ever come in-between us. I will protect you with my last drop of blood." He went extreme to adding that last phrase as he understood the fear she was having that his father would want to kill her.

Then Ashley took his left hand and bit his index finger, drawing blood which she sucked.

"Ouch," Jasper expressed in pain because it was his skin that was cut. "What did you do that for?" He did not understand her actions and needed explanation.

"It's a sign to seal our promise," she answered as she gave him her to do the same.

He made hesitations as he did not see any need for that because he was going to keep to his promise. But the eyes which Ashley looked at him with, told that she was serious about him doing that, thus for love and trust sake, he had to do as she wanted. Bit her finger and sucked some portion of her blood too.

Ashley was now satisfied and had the courage to continue into the palace with him because they had just made a blood covenant that will never be broken no matter the situation and challenges. Yet she refused to tell him that she was his father's wife.
