Chapter 2

Mia was walking through the halls until she reached her locker where her best friend Marla was waiting for her with a large cup of coffee that said Moon Moon Cafe on it. "About time you finally show Mia! I was so close to drinking your coffee along with mine if you would have been 5 minutes later" claimed Marla who dramatically handed the cup to Mia. "Sorry Marla but I had to get my pack back on my stupid brother for that little prank he pulled 2 weeks ago," said Mia as she rolled her eyes at her friends dramatics while taking the coffee from her. "So what did you do to my man exactly," Marla asked as she took a sip of her coffee as they walked to class together. "I put baby powder in his hairdryer so when he used it this morning he got covered in it" chuckled Mia who had a big smile upon her face as she remembered the look her brother had on his face when he got baby powder to the face.

As the bell rang for class Mia had an uneasy feeling that something was going to go wrong today because their normal teacher for English did not show up for class but rather a dashing young man no older than 19 who came in instead. He had no scent to him which Mia thought was weird but when she looked into his eyes she saw nothing but black eyes with a gold ring around them. "Hello, class I am your sub, Mr. Colby Egil. Unfortunately, Mr. Smithers has been in an accident and will be gone for a while" said Colby. Marla and Mia took a look at the man before them and drank in his appearance. He had short wavy red hair, high cheekbones, tan skin, black eyes with blue rings around them, a straight nose, plush round lips, and looked to be 5'8 inches tall. The girls just looked at each other and giggled but Mia still couldn't shake the feeling he gave her.

"Well class today we will be finishing the book your teacher has been having you read over the past 2 weeks then discuss what you have read about and interpreted from it," said Colby with a smile on his face as they pulled out the book Edin's Embrace and began to read. Towards the end of class the emergency alarm goes off about rouge attacks happening and everyone tried to get to shelter but Mia was grabbed by Colby and taken out of the window while everyone was running for safety. As he dragged her to the border she struggles to get out of his hold but he wouldn't release her so she decided to scream on top of her lungs for help and soon 4 pack warriors, her father, and the alpha showed up to save her. " Let go of my daughter you damn rouge!" screamed Ian as he saw the man in front of him holding his daughter hostage but couldn't find an opening to attack him without the risk of hurting Mia.

"Why are you trying to take her from us?" questioned Mark as he stood watching them. "Well you see I am in need of a mate and so far Mia here is the only one that I have deemed worthy to be my mate since she is the most gorgeous woman that I have ever seen and she isn't weak like others so I intend to make with her when she gets her wolf on her 19th birthday" smiled Colby and pulled her closer to him and leaped into the air and vanished without a trace.
