Into You

To the Office

The next morning,Rishit stood inside his room,peeking at Julie's door, expecting her to open the door, so that he could open his door at the same instant to wish her a "Good Morning".

As he expected, Julie opened her door and everything happened as he planned. He opened his door at the same instant and said,"Good Morning, Julie."

Julie wore a formal outfit and carried a laptop bag with her, turned her head towards Rishit as she closed her door and said angrily, "What was your plan yesterday?".

Rishit was confused hearing her question about him. She was the one who fainted on the floor. He was there only to see if she was OK. Rishit helped her literally but she, at this point, standing in front of him, asking, "What was your plan yesterday?". But Rishit was a poor young man, who got scared by the tone of her. With all the irritation, he calmed down and answered,

" Helping you was my plan."

"So you broke in to help me? You carried me to my bed just to help me? You looked at me that way just to help me?", Julie shouted her question one after the other in a terrifying manner.

" Yes, a kind of", said Rishit, and looked at her and realised that she still hadn't changed the way she looked at him and continued," Maybe I looked at you that way because you are kind of cute but it was not what you are thinking right now, trust me , I would never do something like that."

"Fine, I will let this slide, this one time. But I warn you if something like this happens another time, you will face the consequences", Julie said bossily.

" Then don't faint" said Rishit.

This Rishit's answer made Julie sad. Without saying another word, Julie began to go out of the place. As she moved, Rishit followed her to the door. While walking, Rishit said "So you are an employee of some office near this place. Your age must be around 25, right? I am 22. I know I don't look 22, but believe me."

"Have you always been nosy? Can you see I am heading out? You have nothing to do with my profession or with my age. So mind your own business. And you don't need to barge into my room next time, even if I am dead.You get it right?"

As usual, the roads were so busy. Julie took a bus to her new office. As she entered the office, she was welcomed by the receptionist and sent to the manager. He took her to her cabin, introduced her to everyone out there. Her work was explained to her.

She took a deep breath and started switching on her laptop when the colleague next to her started to speak to her." Hi", said the colleague. Julie answered," Hi"." I am Jennifer, and you..." said Jennifer. Jennifer was a beautiful young woman who wore a bold red-colored outfit. She has such a character that she will do anything to get what she wants. She was too bold to take in. These were assumed by Julie. After running all these thoughts in her head, Julie replied " I am Julie". Jennifer looked Julie up and down and noticed a marriage ring on her hand and asked "Are you married?" Julie was shocked, as nobody had ever noticed the ring this quickly and asked this question.

Though Julie was not married, she said," Yes I am." Jennifer continued, " What is your husband?". Julie lied to her, saying,"He is in Dubai, he is a business man."Jennifer replied,"Oh, congratulation on this new job. Nice meeting you!"

Julie said, " Nice meeting you too." And they both nodded to each other and started working.

That day was a good day for Julie. She was so busy with her work and so forgot about everything else. On the lunch break, Jennifer invited her to the cafeteria and they both developed a friendship. In the evening, after working hours, Jennifer waved her a bye and left the office. Julie, who wanted to know information about the project she was on, took an hour extra to compile her work.

Julie walked some distance to buy her a dinner and took a bus to the house.

Rishit, who was sitting in the living room, was so busy completing his painting. He had forgotten about Julie. He came to his senses only when the door bell rang. He hurried towards the door and opened it excitedly, like a child waiting for his mom.

As Julie entered, Rishit, forgetting everything she said in the morning, asked, " How was your first day? Is everything OK?"

Julie maintained a bit of silence but seeing him being concerned, answered'" Everything was good, No issues." Rishit was a bit amused seeing her answering him. Julie, scared of him asking another question, went into her room and slammed the door as usual.

Rishit continued his work. Like the previous time, he started to hear her voice raising like a radio getting tuned. Her voice started to change from sweet person to I am a b***h mode. After some silence, she started to cry.

Rishit was unable to concentrate on what he was doing. He went to her door and sat down, overhearing her conversation and the sound of her tears.

He was unable to know why she was crying and what her problem was. But he kept on getting attracted towards her. He slightly rested his head on her door and waited until she finished crying. He would like to know if she was alright, but he was unable to because he knew that she wouldn't answer any of his questions. So he waited until she switched off her lights and went to his room.

Julie, after crying, took some tablets and went into a deep sleep.

As the days passed by, this became the regular routine of both. Rishit always peeked at her door and waited to greet her good morning. Julie always went to the office ignoring him. She took the same bus every day. After the office, she walked to a distance and bought her dinner. She now became a good friend of Jennifer. Came back home and went to her room, talked to someone over the phone and, arguing, ended up crying.

Rishit always waited at her door until she switched off her lights , making sure she had not fainted and went to his room. This repeats every day.
