Liana’s POV
"Luna, everyone in the packhouse has heard the shouting," she said carefully. "And some of the omegas have seen the aftermath."
Shame burned through me like acid. The entire pack knew I was falling apart. They'd all seen their Luna reduced to a crazy woman searching for babies that didn't exist.
No wonder Jaden was disgusted with me.
"What are they saying?" I asked, though I wasn't sure I wanted to know.
Mary's hands stilled on the fabric. "Luna, perhaps it's better if you focus on getting well rather than—"
"Tell me," I interrupted.
She sighed. "Some are concerned. Others..." she trailed off.
"Others what?"
"Others are wondering if you're fit to be Luna."
The words hit me like a physical blow. My own pack members were questioning my ability to lead them.
