Dr. Byers squirted the blue gel on Brynn's rounded abdomen and picked up the ultrasound wand. "Queen Brynn, let's see what your baby is doing today." Within seconds, our baby appeared on the screen squirming away. They were always active, and I couldn't help but smile at them practicing their kicks.
"Everything looks perfectly normal. Your blood sugar testing came back normal, so gestational diabetes isn't a concern. Your amniotic fluid levels are good, and your baby is measuring right where they should be." The doctor assured us as Brynn squeezed my hand. I didn't miss the tears of relief in her eyes.
