Vanessa leaving her birth home
It’s a sunny morning; birds are singing; dogs are barking. It looks like an ordinary day. Vanessa is packing her suitcases with clothes like she is going on a long trip, but in the background, her parents are having a shouting match in the kitchen over who is to keep Vanessa. Vanessa isn't aware of why they are arguing, but to her, she isn't so concerned about that. Rather, she is thinking about what her life would be like without her friends in another town she barely knows about. She began to shed tears because she was going to miss her home (it is a nice, modest house in a gated community of the town) and her school and everything that made her feel at home. She especially misses her dad, who has always been her confidant and support whenever she has problems. She calls her friends and tells them that she will be moving, but as she is talking, she gets to hear what her parents are fighting about, and she hears her mom mention not being safe and the word wolf. To her, it was strange as to what that meant, but she wasn’t bothered. She told her friends where she was going and that she would miss them a lot. Her mother and father continue to argue over where Vanessa will be safe, with the father insisting that she will be more than safe with him because they have an undetected bunker. The mother keeps insisting that Vanessa will be used as bait to get to him and her as well. That the hunters will not rest until Mufasa is taken down because of his wolf nature.
As they are arguing, Vanessa's mother gives Mufasa an ultimatum, which is to either go away with them to Kampala or separate, since, according to her, Mufasa doesn’t care about them and their safety. Vanessa's father insists that he still loves Jenny and Vanessa and would never put them at risk. However, Jenny had already decided that it would be safer for both Vanessa and her to move out of their family home. Mufasa feels so sad that he feels powerless to stop Jenny, the woman he has always loved, leaving him for another place and being away from his daughter, whom he loves so much and would do anything to protect her. He glances a bit at the scars on his arms and the one on his face, and he has a flashback in which he remembers when he had to fight against the hunters one on one as a werewolf. The hunters were vicious people who had no remorse for life. Mufasa would protect anyone who would be hunted. Since it’s a painful memory, Mufasa sheds a tear in front of Jenny, who comes closer to Mufasa and gives him a hug and tells him everything will be fine, that her and Vanessa will be safe. Vanessa comes down the stairs and stares as the mother and father are hugging outside. She tells them that she is ready to go, but her father asks her to come with him, and they talk for a few minutes before they leave, as the mother prepares the van outside.
.
Her father hugs her so tightly and tells her they are safer where they will go. He tells her that if there is anyone she will be safer with, it is her mother. He whispers in her ear that she will know the truth in time and that he will always look out for her. Mufasa gives his daughter his contacts in case she needs to call him and an emergency phone in case anything happens. He kisses Vanessa on her forehead and gives her a necklace to remember him by whenever she is sad. Vanessa goes to the car and waves goodbye to her father, and the mother lingers on as she stares at Mufasa. She sheds a tear because she really loves him and doesn’t want to leave, but she has no choice. She waves goodbye and sends a flying kiss to Mufasa as he does the same to her. And away they go on the open road on their way to Kampala, a city suburb all the way in Africa where no one will find them or even think of ever finding them. As Mufasa cries in sadness over his family leaving him for the first time, he remembers that there is a person he can send to protect his daughter. Mufasa had also met a werewolf that Mufasa had met during his travels across the country and jungles. Mufasa knew that this boy would help him keep his daughter Vanessa safe from anyone, especially the vicious hunters. He sets out to call him and meet him.
Mufasa calls the boy. His name is Jacob. Jacob is a young werewolf who, just like Mufasa, has been on the run from the hunters whom he encountered early on, and that’s how he got to meet Mufasa. Mufasa saved Jacob from the hunters, as they were about to kill him. From that day on,Jacob told Mufasa that if he ever needed anything, he would call him. So Mufasa calls Jacob and asks him for a favour. "I need you to protect my daughter," Mufasa says. Jacob asks what happened to his daughter, if she is in trouble. Mufasa narrated to him about how the hunters would most probably look for her to get to him. Which is most probably why he was okay with her leaving town and going to Kampala. So Mufasa told Jacob to find her and keep an eye on her no matter what happened to him.So, as Jacob sensed the intensity in Mufasa’s voice on the phone, he knew it was a very serious favour and he didn’t hesitate to accept the favour. So once Mufasa ended the call, he went into hiding in his bunker and setup the home as if it was abandoned so that the hunters wouldn’t suspect a thing if they came went by looking for his daughter Vanessa. As for Jacob, he straight away packed his things and got on a one-way flight to Kampala, where life is much simpler and calmer.
As Jacob is on a flight to Kampala, all the way to Africa, Vanessa is already in Kampala with her mother and they have found the house which they had booked to stay in for a while. A new journey awaits for Vanessa.
