Elijah has never felt as embarrassed as he did when Cassie caught him blowing gently on her injury. He had thought her eyes were still closed and didn't even notice that as she started at him with a confused expression written all over her face.
"Would you have preferred to pass through pain?" He asked in a bid to cover up his embarrassment.
Elijah swallowed hard as she tilted her head, looking more confused. Then she snorted.
"Are you mocking me?" He asked incredulously. She obviously was mocking him. Elijah hasn't shown affection to someone in a long time and now he just did… but what did she do? She snorted! She freaking snorted!
"No sir" She shook her head. Yeah...she definitely was mocking him. Elijah stood up, feeling offended at her attitude towards his affection.
