“Why are you laughing?” Enric asked with confusion.
Cassie cleared her throat. “Well, I was supposed to break the news to you today that you are fired. What are you still doing here?”
Enric scratched the back of his head. “Yeah…I received another email this morning and came to work.”
Cassie narrowed her eyes. “What email again? Show me.” She scrolled through his inbox. Enric peered into his phone and pointed to the email next to the one she’d just read. Cassie clicked on the message. She read:
