The next day, the Bashorun ordered his guards to get him the guy he saw in the market square through his magic box. The guard swings to action and find her at her house. “ the Bashorun wants to see you”. The guards reported. The girl, Ajoke, looked at them and hissed, “ if he want to see me, he should come down here by himself”. “Ajoke, don’t talk like that, stand up now and go to his house”. Her mother barked at her. “Mama, I am not going” “ I don’t want Bashorun’s problem, please go”. She looked at her daughter with an appealing face. She later agreed to go. When she got to the Bashorun’s house, she was ushered in and offered a seat by the Bashorun.
He looked at her and sees beauty in her. He clear his throat, “ Ajoke, I love you and I want you to marry me”. “ are you serious? You are old enough to be my father, look at you”. Ajoke fires back. “ I am really serious, I really love you”. The Bashorun said with his eyes filled with what we may term as love or lust. “ do you think you can use your power over me, do you think I am a shameless b***h you can just take advantage on? I know what you want from me, I am prepared for you today and that is the main reason why I agreed to come here; to face you! You will really suffer for this today!”. Ajoke fired at the Bashorun . the Bashorun was really surprised, things are really changing here. How dare she talk like this to him, BASHORUN ADEWALE of the Isokan Kingdom!!!!!!!!!
He disappeared from the inner chamber and appeared immediately into his sacred room.
“why, why, why
Why are my people going against my rule?
I, BASHORUN ADEWALE
These people are really prepared for me
why? My gods”
he brings out his magic box to find out the reason for this issue burning him right now, he pour some powdery stuff on it and made some incantation on it, he heard a voice saying,
“ Adewale, Adewale, Adewale,
You have broken the rule yourself
Have you forgotten that you swore an oath that you will never say you love a girl
You also promised that you will never say “sorry”
This is the main reason for this kind of attitude Ajoke showed at your inner chamber
She’s still waiting for you
I know you forgotted all these
For me to replenish your lost power
You need to bring with you a male human being head this evening
But for the main time, I will replenish your tongue-coated power
Today, Ajoke will be your wife, whether she likes it or not
Good night and bye”
Bashorun shakes his head in regret, he later thanked his gods for the kind gesture that was shown to him. He appeared to his inner to find Ajoke still waiting for him, he looked at her and before she could say anything, he command her to be his new wife, which she agreed without any argument, she even begged the Bashorun to send a guard to her house to inform her mother that she is the new wife of the Bashorun. Never underestimate the power of the gods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adekunle, the eldest son of the great Bashorun Adewale of the Isokan kingdom, is a big contrast to his father. He is the replica of his grandfather, late Bashorun Adeoti. Though, he looked exactly like his father, in physical characteristics, the same facial look, dimples, colour, hair, what more will we say? He looks exactly in physical attributes like his father; you can hardly differentiate between him and his father. The identity is just too much. Their physical similarities are striking!
Their behaviour are different, unlike his father; he is gentle cool, though he too like is father is a great warrior in his mid twenties, twenty five years to be precise. He is loved by the people in the whole community. He did not live with his father in the same house, he has already built his own house where he do organizes special gift for the people. He do dash out food items to them and do encourage them to keep on with their good works. Whenever is father issue is raised, he feels bad about it. He had talked to his father on several occasion but he seems unyielding. He decided in himself that it is better ot having him as a father, he decided to leave him alone to his trouble. To be candid with the readers, Adekunle is indeed a good man that the whole kingdom love to be with, he is seen as the next hope of the kingdom and they see in him a great leader who will serve their kingdom very well.
The Iwuse-Ata war came in and it was indeed a tough battle, the great Bashorun Adewale fought bravely and his son also, Adekunle, fought well. It was indeed a great war that lasted for just two days. The first war was between the Iwuse kingdom; their king boasted a lot, he was murdered by the Bashorun himself. The next one was fought against the Ata kingdom, Adekunle fought bravely and he capture the Ata king by himself, he didn’t kill hum. The two kingdom were forced to bow to the Isokan kingdom, which they did willingly. That was how the war went and it was indeed a glorious moment in the kingdom as more people troupe into the kingdom.
There is a man in the kingdom known as Adelabu. Adelabu is a farmer, he’s known for his hard work, loyalty and diligence. He is still living with his parent and has decided to take in a new wife the coming year to finally settle down as a family man. His plan is to have a large ban of yam in his store and claim the farmer’s award of the year before the year runs out. He is thirty years old already. He really has a lot of vision in life and that is, to be the best farmer in the whole kingdom! He’s an easy going person, he doesn’t take what does not belongs to him. He has no interest in any other persons property or things. Indeed, Adelabu is a good man to the call.
One unfortunate afternoon, Bashorun Adewale, back to his evil deeds, decides to test his charm on his people. He move into his sacred room and brings out his magic box, he looked into it and started seeing everyone. He could swap the area he wants to view. He looked into the market and sees them all busy with their trade. He laughed mischievously. It was really unfortunate for Adelabu that afternoon, his mother told him not to go out hat sunny afternoon, that he should take a rest for the day, but he didn’t take heed to his mother advice. He carried his basket and gets ready for the farm, on his way to his farm to harvest some yams; the Bashorun sighted him through his magic box. He looked at him having heard that he has the largest ban of yam in the whole kingdom and decide to ruin him tdown. He started his incantation,
“ Adelabu, omo Awero
Bi otin shey nlo baayii
Kii shi she mu e
Ki o lo ko lu Amope omo iya onigi
Ki o si ba ni nkan po
Taa abala esu”
which means:
“ Adelabu, the son of Awero
as you are going,
you should loose your sense
you should head straight to wherever Amope is right now
and you should have something common with her
Yes, the devil”.
After saying this, he returned the box back to it’s resting place and left the sacred room.
Back to Adelabu, on his way to the farm, something suggests to him that he should look for Amope. Charm is working indeed! He started the search for Amope, he looked for her at home, he couldn’t find anyone in their house, he is feeling high. He search for her where she do stay to sell her firewood, he found her there! There was no one left in the market as it was evening already. Fortunately and unfortunately, Amope was the only one left in the market. He looses his trouser and struggle to loose Amope’s wrapper. Which he eventually did! He r***d her! Immediately he was done with the deed, heis normal sense returned back to him, he felt guilty for what he did, he quickly take to his heel. Amope, with her face covered to the ground, was crying profusely. People had gathered round her, covered with stains of blood, she’s a virgin! It was really painful!
For about two days, Amope couldn’t remember who her r****t was! She was asked by everyone and she gives the same answer, “ I don’t know who r***d me, I struggled with him but he’s got more strength compared to mine. I tried my nest but he overpowered me”. She starts crying again. All the women seated in front of her house were really annoyed with what happened, they all started cursing. They all marched to the king’s palace with palm leaves in their hands , shouting and curing at the same time with the song……..
“ We’re the women of diginity
We’re the eomen of honour
We’re the salt of life
Please, if you know you can not protect us anymore
Let us all know
Please go away from this land
We’re tired of this land
The king can not protect, we, his subject
Things are changing
The people want to go”
“if you don’t get out of here, you prostitutes, I will shoot you all”. One of the guards gave a firing warning to the women. They weren’t moved an inch with his warning. “ you’re lying, you dare not shoot, if you try it, we will burn down the whole palace! Never underestimate the power of women!”. The women leader fights back without any fear of being dominated. The Bashorun’s son, Adekunle, was on his way out of the palace, when he saw the women; he begged them to stop all these. Due to his generosity, they obeyed him and explained what happened to him. He told them that the culprit would be found and justice will prevail! They all left the palace together with Adekunle who told them to follow him to his house to get some foodstuff for themselves and their families.
The Alafin move out of his inner chamber, he looked outside of the kingdom. Shaking his head, He resorts it to a poem:
“Life is indeed a walking shadow
Life’s changing
Things are really changing
The ruler wants to go
The people wants to go
What’s is life
A river flowing
I, the great king of the Isokan kingdom
This is getting worse
This is Adewale’s handiwork
Oh my gods, come to my aid”
He looked at the sky and made some solemn prayer and find his way back to his bedroom to sleep.
