I stood outside the locker room, waiting for Lisa after getting ready.
Even though she said it was fine for her to go with Ron, I couldn't shake off the discomfort of sending her with him, especially after seeing how he behaved towards her.
Anxiety coursed through me. It wasn't that I didn't trust Ron, but people can have so many layers, and today I saw a different side of him. Who knows what issues he might have with her? I just hoped it wouldn't be something that would hurt her.
I felt a strange connection with her after meeting her today. It was like feeling cared for when everyone else decides to ignore you, and she managed to make me feel comfortable.
I couldn't pretend that she didn't give me the same vibe I had felt two years back with Austin.
