Ethna's sudden remark caught me off guard. It was obvious that this girl knew what she was talking about. Austin was never the type to joke around, especially when it came to matters of danger. It would be foolish to underestimate him.
I had just been in a heated altercation with him outside, and let me tell you, he's like a raging bull. Not someone you want to mess with.
"Yeah, it's all well and good, but I can't guarantee your safety," Austin said with a voice filled with resentment. "After all, you're not part of my pack."
This was not an ideal situation. If Austin didn't accept her into his pack, she would be considered a rogue, and that was far from an admirable condition.
