"Milla," Rami rushed over with news, "if you clean the room today and he finds it satisfactory upon his return, which will be soon, he'll definitely meet you."
I glanced at her, noting her excitement, as though we'd won the lottery. But just because he's coming soon doesn't guarantee it'll be today. And even if I clean his room now, if he arrives tomorrow, he might not appreciate the effort.
It feels like he expects me to maintain his room until he shows up, twisting his words however convenient. It's all the same, no matter how I look at it.
But can I afford to refuse? I pondered.
