Prologue
A woman rushed through the white marbled hallways of the castle, her white dress fluttered behind her as she bit her lips nervously.
"Viara!!" someone called and she looked back to find a guy following her with a tense expression.
"Stop following me Zilous!" she yelled and increased her pace taking a sharp turn and stopping in front of a huge wooden door with runes engraved on it in golden ink forming a big circle with many circles inside it.
She closed her eyes and raised her hand, palm facing the door as she started mumbling slowly and each circle in the runes on the wooden door started rotating clockwise and anti-clockwise simultaneously and the door unlocked with a bright light creeping through as it opened on its own.
Zilous caught up with Viara and held her hand turning her to him, "Stop this now!"
"I won't!" She eyed him as she tugged her hand back and entered the room followed by Zilous.
They entered a massive room and Zilous looked up at the bright light that was shining down and squinted his eyes, "Viara don't tell me you...."
He lowered his head and looked around, the room was structured in a cylindrical space with seven shelves placed inside attached to the walls, the shelves went up and disappeared in the light like they had no end, all walls were occupied except the space with windows.
His golden eyes observed Viara as she searched through the shelves and when she found the right one she leapt up in the air her silver hair bouncing with the impact. He sighed and followed her as she flew up till she halted in front of a section.
He halted beside her as they both floated in mid-air, "Viara?" he asked as her golden eyes stared at the crystal in front filled with determination.
"I need to fix this," she muttered in a low voice as Zilous's eyes went wide with reaction as he turned towards the crystal with red-black lights tangled inside in a whirlwind.
"You'll regret it..." he said as he slowly realised what she was hinting at.
"He's in pain, everyone besides him is in pain, many people have lost their mates because of him, many people have lost their packs because of him.....I....I need to do this," She picked up the crystal in her hand and raised it to smash it down but was stopped by Zilous.
She raised her head, tears glistening in her eyes as she stared into his eyes full of love. He held her hand firmly and shook his head.
"Don't do this, he doesn't deserve this."
"Then what am I suppose to do?" she cried, the tears flowed down her cheeks which twisted his heart into a tight knot and he swallowed before pulling her into an embrace. He looked up at the bright light like he was praying and closed his eyes taking a deep breath.
"Viara.....give him his mate."
It took a minute for the words to register in her mind, as soon as she grasped what he said she pushed him hard and stepped back shouting at him.
"Do you know what you are saying? Give him a mate? She'll die!!"
"Listen to me," Zilous stepped towards her calming her down, "We cannot halt the procedure forever, it was our mistake..."
"MY MISTAKE!" she corrected and he sighed defeated.
"Whatever yours is mine Viara including your mistakes and I'm going to find a solution for it together with you."
"And your solution is to give him a mate?" she asked, "He cannot feel emotions of love Zilous, he won't be able to reciprocate them to her, she will keep expecting, she will keep hoping all her life and then she will wither away slowly getting devoured by the madness."
"Let's find someone who isn't affected by the mate bond," he suggested and she looked at him with disbelief. She knew he was trying his hard to think of a solution but this just wasn't it, she slowly caressed through his silver hair and sighed.
"There is no one in our world who doesn't feel the mate bond Zilous......you know that."
"Then find someone from another world," someone voiced out and both Viara and Zilous spun causing the crystal to slip from her hand, their eyes went wide as they saw the crystal falling but it stopped suddenly and flew up straight in the hand of a guy.
"You shouldn't handle someone's life recklessly."
The guy was sitting by the window with one leg bent on the sill and one dangling loosely. His purple outfit shone beautifully under the light while he spun the crystal on his finger like a ball and tossed it up in the air before holding it firmly.
His long black straight silky hair blew cause of the wind that was tied up with a few strands loose on his forehead and his purple eyes filled with excitement intriguingly gazed at them.
"Who are you?" Viara asked wiping the tears off her face as he smiled and jumped down off the window standing in mid-air and walking towards them, he tossed the book in his hand up in the air that disappeared halfway.
"I'm Noxir I'm from the 7th world division," He tossed the crystal back onto the shelf as it flew swiftly but landed in its place slowly like a feather.
Viara and Zilous relieved gave him a guilty look before they turned and gave each other a brief nod and introduced themselves.
"Viara from 3rd World division."
"Zilous from 3rd World division.....We're sorry for not handling the crystal carefully."
"Nice to meet ya!"Noxir grinned as he walked in a circle, "Don't worry about the almost incident that took place I'll treat it as if it never happened."
"What did you mean by another world?" Viara asked getting straight to the point and Noxir shrugged.
"I meant what I said, look for his mate in another world if you can't find the right one in your world."
"How do you know we are looking for his mate?" Zilous asked getting on guard.
Noxir laughed and stopped walking, he turned to them with a playful expression and raised his hand in a surrender gesture, "It wasn't my intention to eavesdrop but you weren't really whispering you know."
"Interfering in another world is wrong," Viara pointed out and Noxir smirked staring at her.
"Viara, the divine of the 3rd world division who left her job in the middle of the procedures of making souls and came out unpunished," he observed her reaction as she went stiff slowly and Zilous stepped in front protecting her, "You did wrong back then and it resulted in a mess, how about you try doing wrong now.....maybe it will correct the mess."
He observed their reaction but when they didn't speak out of hesitation he decided to push it a little further and walked to a shelf diagonal to the shelf of 3rd world. He stood facing them as he raised his hand and a crystal flew down straight in his hand, it was a beautiful crystal ball with calm green and blue lights playing with each other forming waves inside.
"I don't want to sound biased but this is a child I really love, Liliana Frost, take a look at her."
He passed the crystal to Viara as she placed her hand above the crystal and closed her eyes her vision travelling through a passage of time before reaching the end and exiting into a big forest.
A girl walked in the woods with a huge bag on her back, her long ginger brown hair tied in plates and her light hazel eyes beaming with excitement as she crouched down in front of a plant and took the picture with her camera. A beautiful smile danced on her pink lips and her fair honey skin glowed under the sun creeping through the trees.
Her hand touched the trunk of the tree feeling the texture and looked up at the sky blocked by the trees.
Viara frowned and pulled out of the space opening her eyes and staring at Noxir, "A human?"
"Yes, a human," he nodded and she shook her head in disappointment.
"Sorry but, the 7th world has the weakest species among all the worlds. Putting this child in 3rd world will not be good for her, she won't survive there."
"Are you underestimating my child?" Noxir asked after giving out a light scoff and Zilous worried he will take offence stepped up.
"Viara is just saying that we would be putting this child in danger if we send her to a world full of predators."
"Don't worry about that," Noxir waved his hand casually, "She might take a little time to adjust but she is definitely not a weakling who would cower in the face of danger."
When they didn't look convinced he sighed and stepped closer to them, "Trust me she is the best choice."
Even after trying so hard when he didn't get a reply he placed his hand above the crystal lovingly and smiled, "I'll leave the decision to you."
He walked away from them towards the window and smiled, "If you decide to send this child to your world please take care of her and yes.... don't get me involved I don't like to mess with Gods."
He disappeared in thin air fading away while smiling and only Viara and Zilous were left alone in the room.
"What do you think?" Viara asked holding the crystal tightly to her chest and Zilous shrugged.
"She fits perfectly and we can always protect her with spells....I mean there is a rule to not cast spells on the people of our world but there is no rule stating we can't cast spells on the people from another world."
"You are suddenly talking sense...." Viara placed her hand on his forehead and checked his temperature, "You sure you are not sick?"
"Stop it," he pushed her hand and she finally smiled. He felt warm in his heart seeing her smile and took the crystal from her.
"I actually have another Idea," he said and placed his hand above the crystal, staring at Viara as she understood what he meant without the need to spell a word and nodded.
"I was thinking of the same thing."
She placed her hand above the crystal as well and closed her eyes followed by Zilous. They both started mumbling incantations and bright vibrant lights surrounded them spinning around them before they got absorbed in the crystal leaving a silver butterfly mark on it.
"I hope she doesn't hate us for doing this against her will," Viara placed the crystal beside the other crystal and stared at it remorsefully.
"I hope so too," Zilous nodded his head.
They cast a spell on both the crystals and tied them in a mate bond.
After everything was done they went out of the room which locked itself back and started walking through the hallway.
"I'm suddenly scared of the outcome of our actions," Zilous knitted his eyebrows together
"Well what's done is done now," Viara shrugged and smiled at him, "Instead of that let's think about how to bring her to our world."
"Right...." Zilous held her hand and they both walked away with hope filling their heart.
