Chapter 9 : The Most Enticing Scent

3 days have passed. I'm giving the alpha the food they eat for each day but he still ignore me. I'm not aiming for something, it's good they eat.

He doesn't trust me because he growls whenever I come near. I made friends, other wolves are good to me. But, it is unavoidable that sometimes others just attacked me, but I don't make a fight, jack does, he's not leaving my side, protecting me.

Worst, I haven't yet taken a bath, I changed my clothes but the smell is already stuck on my body.

The smell of dead animals, dried bloods from my fights with them including the smell of the forest and the cave, it's too hard to use my senses with this.

I always took the opportunity at night to hunt for wild animals. I got to sleep in the morning with contentment... but today, I did not get to sleep because of my smell... it's too horrible!

The night already began, so as early as possible I went out and hunt. While dragging the wild animals I just caught... I heard a splash, the power of my smell might have loosened but the power of my ears is, unstoppable.

I walked towards that noise. Not long after, I heard a calm water, when I got closer...

This... is the most wonderful place I have ever seen... The light from the moon illuminates the lake, there are full of vines on the side which kinda looked like a wall.

I can see the fishes swimming down as they are so bright with light colors. This place is breathtaking...

I put down the now dead animals and quickly take off my clothes. I cleaned myself  and take my time swimming in here it's the greatest time I'd ever had in my entire life.

I'm surprised I still have this kind of feeling, contentment and happiness for a little moment, because after a week it will be taken away from me.

I didn't think of escaping, because I know they will found me and the worst thing can happen... if they'll know that I didn't get out in the cave at the right time, I'm sure they will come inside and kill the wolves. I won't let that happen...

I felt so fresh when I got out of the water and went back in the cave.

It's the fourth day when I gave the deer and the wild boar to the alpha, he did not take it as what he usually does, instead I felt him come near me and furrowed my head I looked up to him because he's tall, the tallest among these wolves.

He still furrowed my head, maybe he want me to stand up, so I stood up to see all the wolves around me... So many of them... not the same number as I always see around, maybe, the other wolves I've always seen lurking around are here too.

The alpha started sitting in front of me and bowed his head. Suddenly, all wolves do the same. They are submitting themselves, so I went on my knees and do the same to repay the gesture. The alpha howled and followed by the others.

I made friends... All of them respected me and for once I'm happy because of them... 

I named most of them but the alpha still named as alpha. Now, I've seen their soft spots.

Every night I got out to hunt, and going back to the lake just to watch the bright fishes swimming and the moon that illuminates in the water, I treasured every moment I had as if, it's the last.

I wish I could go back again here... to see my wolves and this place that makes me feel heaven, even if I won't get to see heaven, this place is already my heaven.

I didn't try to take a bath because I only have 2 days and 2 nights to make myself look like a shitty kid or they might get suspicious if I look clean.

Time went so fast, it's Saturday night so I treasured my moments with every wolves in this cave... they love me... "Jack, I'll go home tomorrow, if I'm outside the cave don't follow me, get it?" I said softly, as time goes by...

I'm starting to have something that was lost to me and that's my emotion. But it seems like I'm dried out of tears because it never went out of my eyes ever again.

I stopped on my thoughts when I heard jack whines, I think he understands what I'm saying. If I slept, they're beside me and it was a comfortable sleep that I ever had, warm and cozy with my wolves.

I started ripping my clothes. Well, I left my things with them. Some of my clothes are now played by the cubs.

The wounds and scratches my body had from my hunts are visible, so they will not get suspicious. The dead animals' bloods are still fresh and can be seen from a far in my clothes.

I talked to the alpha not to let any wolf go outside the cave until I'm gone, and I think he understand. I already said my goodbyes at them but I never promised to be back, 'coz I'm not sure if it's possible.

When the wall opened, I immediately walked towards the gate holding my bloodied knife wearing my deadly eyes not wanting any man to get inside and meet any of my wolves.

I blocked the entrance with my head bowed down and sensed the men circling aiming their guns. The moment they saw me, I heard gasps and curses, surprised are written on their faces, others scrunched their nose while holding their guns.

Well, I have a horrible smell. Suddenly, uncle Dos ordered a man to get inside, and when the man attempted to walk through me I looked at him with my deadly glare.

They are all so shock to see my face including the old man but my focus is on his man when he sees my eyes he walked backwards slowly and fear is written all over his face, like... he saw a monster in it...

After that no man attempted to get inside the cave. And the man I looked at, become hysterical and lost himself, as if he was detached from reality. That time I smirked that I discovered a new weapon, my deadly glare...

We're now on our way to the Tarre's Mansion, I cleaned myself many times to get rid of the smell, all of my senses are completely back to usual.

I saw my mom and Carlo on the door, when they saw me, clearly happiness spread on their faces.

Mom is teary again, she hugged me so tight and I hugged her back, followed by Carlo. "I'm so happy to see you back, Princess." His voice was shivering as he broke down a sob.

After our bonding together, my mom decided to go out for shopping and enjoy for a little while...

Which happens sometimes if she feels like it, but I'm not really into going out thingy. Still, I obeyed, I wear my black hooded jacket and my black mask with black pants and dark blue shoes.

I'm all covered up because my hood never leave my head. This was the reason that Carlo sometimes got into fight with kids who ridiculed me. Which me not being cared.

We went in malls and bought clothes and foods. We also visit different restaurants and eat their special dishes.

Now, we are in the park and my mom is talking with someone else from the distance while Carlo run on the nearby Ice Cream parlor to buy ice cream for us.

I'm sitting in a bench under the starry night with two bodyguards in either of my side, the other two is on my mom's sides. Yes, it's already night.

I decided to stand up and walked towards mom but... I didn't yet get near her when I stopped on my track the moment a wind passed through me... It has the most enticing scent I ever smelt in my entire life...

I looked around to where it came from, my eyes caught the alley 50 meters away from me it's like a tunnel where cars used to pass by.

I closed my eyes and smelled the alley, there it is again that smell but there are also group of people in it. I tried to ignore it but something is pulling me towards it.

I started walking again sensing my bodyguards behind me. One is looking on the playground while the other one is looking forward, probably thinking something.

So, I swiftly run away using my speed and density which made my movement and my disappearance unnoticed, by the time they will realize I'm out of sight.

When I reached the alley, there are dim lights but my eyesight was so clear. The scent is so strong now, and my eyes caught a cute boy most likely at my age. Cute? What the! Since when did I recognized a look?

Yeah, the wolves, maybe because of them, I can't still get over with my wolves, and I won't. So the scent is coming from him, it's so enticing I can't help but smell, I will not probably get tired of his scent. What!?

Suddenly, I stopped on my thoughts, I felt my eyes turned black at the scene in front of me, there are 6 guys laughing behind a big man with an ash hair color who is holding the boy in the neck, lifting and pinning him on the wall.

The boy on the other hand, is holding the man's arms trying to get out, moving his feet trying to kick while yelling at him.

They did not notice my appearance because I wear mostly dark clothes and my presence was always unnoticed.

I took my knife out my secret pocket, my lovely knife never leave my body. I knocked the handle on the wall for them to see me, at last they recognized my presence "Look who's here, hey kid! wanna play along with us and your friend here?" The big man with ash hair color said throwing the boy on the side, the boy gasped for air while looking at me like he's telling me to go.

I smirked, challenge.
