Chapter 19 : The Insigma Fighters

It seems like everything stopped, everything really did stop. From the noise of the students to the plates, spoons and even Daniela. All actions stopped. All I can hear are heartbeats.

I heard footsteps coming closer and Daniela moved aside. My head was still lowered, my eyes are blank wearing my emotionless state.

The foods around lessen the power of my smell. Then, I felt a hand on my arm.

Suddenly... That scent! Everything seems like a slow motion...

I looked up to see the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. His smell is so enticing...

No! It's not right. I shouldn't be! I'm a monster created to kill. People feared me because I am... The Silencer.

I just stared at him and I didn't pass the way he looked at me. His eyes held shock, horror, surprise like he saw a ghost. He intensely looked into my eyes... deeply at my eyes.

I can't decipher his emotions and even his mind. But I know one thing. He's strong. Undeniably strong. I can compare Carlo's strength into his.

Behind him are Coby, Lucas and Adrian. They are the people who caused the silence inside this restaurant. I felt Drena supporting me to stand up which made me out of daze.

I immediately looked down. I can't look much longer to him anymore or I'll drag him in my house on the forest. What did I just say!? Oh no, no.

I sensed the two girls let go of Cassy and she run to help me. Drena is in my right while Cassy is in my left. They put my arms around their shoulders while I still lowered my face and my hair covered it.

We started walking.

"It's you before! And it's you again!" Lucas exclaimed, surprise not leaving his face.

"Are you okay?" I sensed Adrian came closer to Drena, looking intensely at her. Tch.

I felt Coby glaring at... Cassy? So, he might be talking about Cassy this morning, Cassy lowered her face with shyness. I smirked. I see...

Suddenly my attention was caught when Daniela sling her arms around the guy's arm which is still staring at me intensely. I can feel my blood boil. What!?

"Baby Xenon they laughed at me!" Xenon. She said pointing at us. We just ignored them and continue walking as we passed through him.

He seems annoyed with Daniela as he tried taking out her tight arms around his. "They creep me out! You should teach them a lesson." She nagged like a child while he just ignored her.

I can sense him still dozing out, but I can also sense his anger towards Daniela.

We're not very far from them when I heard Lucas. "Congrats with your second life!" He shouted between his laugh.

But, we just continue walking.

Xenon' POV

The three are so annoying! They've been talking about some Claire girl, and worst it started last week!

"There's really something on that girl." Adrian stated. We are in the house or more likely a mansion it has a white and blue color.

This is the house given for the four of us with Lucas, Adrian and Coby. We are sitting on the couch of the dining area right now, watching basketball in a flat screen TV.

"I also think the same. This Claire just break Daniela's world record. She catches so many punches without fighting back but she can still moved." Lucas said while looking at the ceiling, thinking.

"I really wanted to meet her again but I never saw her after that incident." Adrian sighed.

"Tch. You just want to see Drena again. Excuses Adrian." Coby throws a pillow on Adrian.

"I know, it's not a good excuse." He murmured catching the pillow.

"Me too, I want to meet her again. She's interesting." Lucas grinned.

"She must have died, Lucas." Coby said with a serious face.

Lucas laughed "With those movement?! I didn't even hear her scream, she didn't even shed a tear! and she died?" Lucas said in between his laugh. "That would be impossible!" He beamed. Tch. Again. I'm done with it!

I looked at them "It's a miracle, unbelievable, impossible, interesting, awesome. Is there anything left?" I interrupted, then I faced Coby "Oh yeah! Coby also met a Claire that didn't get affected by his charm." I said sarcastically. "I'm done with it! You've been saying that over and over again." I looked at all of them.

"Any words about her coming from your mouth again, face your consequences." I said using my hard voice.

"Ahm, I'm hungry." Lucas said changing the topic.

"Me too." Adrian added.

"Let's go to the restaurant, my treat!" Coby beamed standing.

They started going outside and I followed them. Thankful there are just some of the girls outside the mansion whose waiting for us. Tch. We're not celebrities.

The moment we're out they started screaming coming. We ignored them as we continue walking towards my car.

The car started and we drove towards the restaurant. Car is easier so that there's no interference. Especially girls.

Once we got out of the car, we all came to a halt, shocked to see the scene in front of us. The students looking at the two girls fighting and the view from us is very clear without anyone blocking.

"Another Daniela's fight again." Coby sighed going back inside the car.

"No! Wait, look." Adrian said pointing at the scene.

I'm surprised to see Daniela punched the girl in a hooded jacket twice, but the girl remained standing. No girl can ever stand her punches, she's the only girl who had ever done that. She was punched in the stomach which made her fall.

I'm so confused. Why she didn't fight back? At the looked of it that girl has strength. She has the capacity to fight Daniela in a good match. I can't stand it anymore as I started going inside the restaurant, the three followed behind me.

I can see Daniela kicking the girl nonstop, her actions can kill! The girl is probably dying from the hits Daniela gave.

"That's enough!" I demanded using my deadly voice, then, all of the attention turned to me.

Everyone came to silence. I can see some faces in horror, they're afraid of me. While others in adoration. I don't usually get to interrupt a fight if it's not of my business. That's why I'm curious as to why I'm here.

Daniela moved aside scared of me, it's because of the voice I used. I rarely use it. We come closer as I looked at the girl, I can't see her face because she's looking down.

And I'm so surprise, she's still conscious.

Drena hold the girl's arm helping her to stand up and suddenly the girl looked up.

I freezes in my spot...

It seems like my world stopped. I saw it! Her eyes... Her familiar eyes... Eyes I saw just once, to the one I owe my life... I can't think clearly, I don't know what's happening around as I was brought back to my past.

Suddenly, I felt arms circling around my arm and I feel disgusted. I tried taking the arms out of mine, but because my mind is busy thinking of many things I can't get it out of me.

I can't get over with her eyes...

The eyes that held nothing. No one can ever decipher. The eyes of a lifeless...

I was brought back to reality and looked for her... but she's gone.

Venice Claire's POV

They are taking me again in the Clinic and again I get out from their hold when I sensed no one in the area. I put my hood on. Cassy has been yelling at me until now.

"Hey! Where are you going?" She yelled following me. Drena is silent behind us.

"To our room." I simply answered.

"Don't you even feel any pain!?" She asked as she looked at me up and down many times. Shocked to see me in a good state. I ignored her.

"You should just let her hit me! If it's not for the Insigma fighters, she might have killed you." She stated but worry is evident in her face.

"Insigma Fighters?" I asked.

"The four of them Xenon, Lucas, Coby and... Adrian. They are the best of the best fighters in this academy. They're known as the Insigma Fighters because of their fame." Drena explained with sadness in her voice as she looked down.

"Can you please tell me what's going on!?" She asked the moment the door of our room closed. "You two seems to ignore me like, there's nothing happened!" She yelled. "And you!" She pointed out to Drena "Why did you just let Daniela beat her!?" Then she pointed at me.

Drena lowered her head.

"I told her." I simply stated.

She was taken aback "What!?" She asked.

"I made her promise not to interrupt my fight." As I lay down in my bed, I did it everytime I don't want to hear scoldings from anyone.

"I didn't even see a fight in there!" She scolded.

"Let's prepare for our next class now." I stand up and decided to walk towards the door. Tch. She wouldn't stop.

But someone held my wrist, stopping me. I looked at her. Drena. "Not now." She looked at my eyes intensely.

"I know you are putting an act, so stick with it." She said with a serious face "For days." She continued.

She's right. It would be suspicious if I go around without bruises or I go around feeling nothing. I nodded and go back to bed.

"Oh no, don't ignore me!" Cassy throw her hands in the air looking frustrated.

"Look at me Cassy." I'm serious now, there are so many things in my mind especially that Xenon... He has an effect in my body!

She looked at me "Now, explain." She said using her serious voice.

"Ask another question about me and by tomorrow I'm gone." I told her the words that I know can stop her.

She was taken aback. Suddenly, her face turned sad "I'm sorry." She looked down. I can sense Drena looked away, her hands clenched.

"Go to your classes now." I demanded which they immediately obeyed.

I closed my eyes and hear the door opened and closed, they went out silently. I needed pain, right now. My body is now starting to be hysterical.

I immediately changed in my sweat pants and shirt and wear my rubber shoes. I took a small backpack with me which consists of The Silencer suit and black hooded Jacket.

I went out for a run. I ran far away and let The Silencer take over, when she get back to sleep I looked around to see that I'm still in the forest. I am now wearing the suit as I looked at the time 10 pm. I run towards the big tree and take out my black Ducati.

I took out my cape and changed it with my hooded jacket then I started the engine. The moment I reached the City proper, I looked around searching for the highest place.

Then I found a tower near the tall buildings, it is the tallest I've seen. There's a clock near the top and a circular platform above the clock. Perfect.

I parked my black Ducati at the bottom but hidden for anyone to see. I started climbing, no one can see because it's dark and I'm wearing dark clothes.

I need a place to think, and this is the best place I know... The highest place.

The moment I reached it, I breathed deeply, feeling the air, but I can't feel it. I'm numb. Feelings are not with me anymore.

One can say it's cold but I can't feel coldness. One can burn in fire but I don't, because I can't feel it. One can feel pain and my body yearn for it, but the feeling of pain is not there. My body just want to have it, it's my drug.

I want to stab myself but I can't. It happened before at the mansion, I stabbed myself many times but my mom became hysterical the moment she knew about it, so she made me promised to stop. And I did... for her. So running nonstop is my only option, running is vigorous.

Feelings. And then I remembered.

Earlier I felt my blood boil, I know it's anger. 8, 10 or 11 years ago? I can't even remember when did my body stopped from reacting anger. All I know is, my body never reacted any emotions anymore nor felt it.

I know the meaning of friendship but I don't feel it, I just stick to its meaning.

The only thing I know that functions properly is my mind, it controls my body. Emotions don't control it anymore and... Pain charges my body to maintain my mind in proper function. But earlier it reacted.

Why? It's because of him. Xenon. What's with that guy? I have to find out.

That Xenon guy. He can help me back what I've lost. I took the circular metal out of my pocket which I still have from 7 years ago. It's from him, probably.

Speaking of that Xenon guy, his smell passed through my nose, just now. I looked around to see one of the rooftop not far from me, probably 90 meters away. I put the circular metal back to my pocket, it's always been in my suit.

There's a man in a black sweater up there with a sniper gun talking in a walkie talkie. It's him, Xenon, the smell is coming from that man, so it's definitely be him.
