Chapter 18 : That's Enough!

"Tell me I heard it wrong." She seems a bit sad as she sat down on her bed still facing me.

"Just exactly what you heard." I said lowly.

She stand up clearly "You're my friend so you're my business! I thought I'm your friend?" She asked with anger and sadness, she just met me yesterday yet acted like we met years ago. Friend.

"Exactly," I said blankly sitting up and looked at her eyes "You're my friend," I stand up facing her "but you are dead the moment you'll know who I am." I said lowly to her.

I saw her face held fear for mere seconds as she stumbled back. Suddenly, it changed with nothing but understanding. She sighed and nodded at me.

I turned my back and started walking towards the door. "I won't hurt the two of you." I stated lowly telling the truth "I'm your friend right?" I asked not facing her. I sensed her nodded.

"Yes." She said with determination in her voice.

"Can I ask you a favor?" I simply asked.

"I don't know who you are but the first time I saw you, I felt so warmth, and from that moment I made you as my friend... and trusted you..." her voice held seriousness "so, yeah."

When I reached the knob I faced her. She's staring down on the floor, her hands were put together.

"Don't ask questions about me, set aside your curiosity. And, don't tell Cassy what happened." She looked at me quickly with curiosity.

"I can do the first favor but not the second one. Cassy is our friend, she deserves to know what did Daniela do to you!" She said her voice went louder.

"And cry like you did?" There. It struck her as she tried to open her mouth to talk and close it, not knowing what to say. She lowered her head and nodded.

"But, promise me don't let Daniela hurt you again like that, try dodging her, I know you can." She bargained looking at me.

I put my head down as I shake my head "I need it." She was taken aback, shock is obvious on her face.

"I'm going out to get some fresh air." I opened the door and walked out.

Drena is a smart girl but she doesn't have any friends except Cassy. That's why I'm assured she will tell no one about what she saw and felt.

One thing I chose her to be my roommate is that she have her words, what she stated is considered as done. That's what she learnt from her father.

Cassy on the other hand is very sensitive, she doesn't want anyone close to her get hurt even with her flirtatious act, she's the softest person in heart. Her own history told me.

Told yah, I didn't expected myself to be this good in psychology but I've been a spy, and I never failed a mission.

I think, I need a 3 days break for school. She has been needing to wake up. So, I decided to go out of the campus still in my PE uniform.

I started running in the forest, far away from anyone. I didn't brought any vehicle with me, I don't want her to reach someone when she's awake. After almost 6 hours of running and passing the mountains, I looked around and satisfied, even with her flash movement 2 hours is not enough to reach a number of people. Then, I let The Silencer took over.

I looked around to see that I'm standing in a road it's only three miles away from school. I looked at my clock it's 1am, she took over for three hours, I can't blame her, I didn't get enough pain to satisfy my own body.

I run back towards the school. When I'm a hundred meters away from the school gate, I heard a car running towards me it was still far and can't be seen yet from the curve of the road and trees that blocking it. So, I run back towards the trees and hide behind it.

It's the same car I saw last night. The car went towards the gate and the guards let it in. Coby is still a student, I'm sure the guys with him are students too. But, why did the guards just let them in and probably out of the campus?

This is a boarding school and no one can get in and out without the head's permission. Head. They are connected to the head because I've seen it happen for two consecutive nights already, most especially not in a normal time.

It's not my business so I decided to go back in the room. The moment I opened it, I picked my clothes and started walking towards the bathroom. I sensed Drena sit up but I ignored her.

After I took my bath and wear my sleeping clothes, pajamas and a shirt, I walked out of the bathroom and walked silently towards my bed.

"I've been trying to resist asking a question about you." She stated lowly.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" I simply asked.

"Waiting for my friend because I'm worried sick to where she went. The campus is so dangerous to go around at night. I've been also telling lies to Cassy just for that friend. But all she did is making me worried. She came back but it's already dawn and her clothes are so dirty like she's been rolling around the campus. I'm getting crazy!" She said nonstop in a low but hard voice as she messed her hair using her hands. While Cassy sleep like an oil.

"I'm fine. Sleep tight." I lay down on my bed.

"I don't think I can." She layed back down.

"Thank you. Goodnight Drena." I said in a whisper.

I sensed her smile. "Night Claire." As we close our eyes and sleep.

Days have passed, most likely a week have passed. I decided not to go to my classes, everytime the two went out for their classes, I got out of the campus using my motorcycle to travel around, and look for something that can caught my attention. Or run around the forest, sometimes I tried taking trees using my bare hands.

I am creating a house in the middle of the forest far from the school, I ensured that no one can walk by. It's near a little lake, so it's peaceful.

I travelled around to buy things that I needed in my house. Saturday and Sunday, the days that students can get home, the two thought I was home but I've been trying to finish my house.

It's monday, I looked at the time, 2am. I went outside the house which is near a lake. Satisfied with what I see. It's simple but the way it was created it's pretty, if the area around is included, the view can take a breath away. I saw the area when I was running around and decided to build a house. And this is it.

The inside is already complete with a bedroom and a bathroom, a little kitchen and a dining table. There's no electricity but I bought a florescent light with many extra batteries. It's what I can call my real house. I already have my basic needs and especially my weapons in here.

I went home the other night, I made sure no one can sense, thankful Carlo was not there. No one dared to come uninvited in the Tarre's mansion or even getting near it, they are all scared. Anyone who came near the mansion uninvited, died.

I took the weapons I can brought because for two years this will be my rest house. I've been sleeping here for two mornights and I had a good sleep that I can call.

I locked my house and jumped in my black Ducati as I ride to the secret hideout and hide it. I run towards the school and when I'm near the road, I saw the car again entering the gate. I ignored it and went to our room.

I looked at the two sleeping peacefully and then I looked at Drena, she's back to her old self again, smiley and cheery.

She have so much questions but she's trying her best to set aside her curiosity. She might be thinking she will lose me if she know. I took a bath and wear my pajamas and shirt as I went to sleep.

On the way to our first class the two are still bickering.

"Claire," Cassy called, I looked at her "what time did you come last night? I didn't feel you coming." she asked curiously.

"3 am" I simply stated.

"Did you have difficulties escaping from your parents again?" She asked. I nodded.

"Ow!" She reacted, her eyes are a bit sad. Drena is quiet all the while, she's afraid to ask about me.

"We're here! In our separation path." Drena smiled widely spreading her arms, like she introduced a product.

"I'll be going now." I said as I started walking.

"See you at lunch Claire!" Cassy shouted.

"Yeah! We'll be waiting!" Drena shouted too.

I raised my hand signaling 'okay'.

My first class started and after awhile Coby barged in. He directly went to his seat ignoring the teacher that is scolding him.

Someone's not in the mood. He's quiet the whole time just looking down on the table thinking about something I can't decipher, and I am looking outside the window the whole time.

"How's your day? Mine's bad." He murmured not even changing his position, I ignore him.

"You know what, I hate girls, especially the girl I met today." He continued talking more to himself, it's too low, but my ears are very active. The students can't hear it because they are busy with their businesses plus the teacher is discussing.

"I was kissing some bimbo girl in the locker when this blonde girl pulled me, slapped me! And run. I really hate girls. They're difficult to understand!" He's been nagging lowly until the bell rang.

I wore my hooded jacket earlier, so I put my hood on and fixed my things, "Then, just try to listen." I said passing him and walked out, leaving him dumbfounded.

There's nothing much in my next two subject so my classes were done peacefully. I'm going now towards the restaurant. I pulled out the hood from my head the moment I came in.

Then, I see most of the students stopped from their own stuffs and glances at me, some are starting to gossip while the others are whispering.

How did I caught attention this much? So I started listening, while walking towards Cassy and Drena who are now smiling at me.

"Yeah, I thought she's already dead." Student 1 whispered.

"Me too, how come she's here? She should be staying in a hospital until now." Student 2 said.

"She didn't fought back at Daniela and just accept punches from her." The guy student in the other table said to a girl student sitting near him.

"Oh? Maybe, she really don't know how to fight." She answered with disgust in her voice.

So it was the battle from last week. I took a seat in the table, the same table from last week, they really like it in the corner. It's better in here because the view from the outside is so clear, it's calming me every time I watched the outside.

The food was already prepared so we started digging. The two was quiet they rarely talk maybe they heard the gossip, so I think Cassy already know about what happened.

"Why didn't you tell me?" All of a sudden Cassy asked.

"You wouldn't like it." I stated blankly.

"Of course I wouldn't!" She yelled which caused some students to looked at us.

"Please, lower your voice Cassy." Drena calmed her.

"See? That's why I didn't tell you." I said blankly.

"But s-" She was cut off.

"Well, well, well. Look who's here." I already sensed her coming when the students became silent a little earlier. Daniela.

"Just go Dane. We're not here for a fight." Drena said, her voice was hard, she's resisting the urge to fight her.

"Oh really? I'm not here to fight either, I just want to send my regards to your friend here." She said faking a sweet voice pointing at me. She's now behind me...

Drena and Cassy put their hands in a fist.

"How are you Claire? I'm surprised you're still alive. Good. Coz' I'm not yet satisfied with what I've done," She leaned closer to my ear "I want more." She whispered but clear for the two to be heard. I smirked to myself. Me too.

Drena slapped her hands on the table and Cassy directly stand up, I hold Cassy's hand and shake my head. She's really hardheaded as she tried pulling her hand off of me to face Daniela, but it didn't budge. I did not hold it tight or I might break her hand.

"No, don't stop me, she's out of boundary!" Her voice was venomous as she pulled her hand off, I pulled her back to her chair, just enough force to make her sit back.

Drena on the other hand is still sitting with her head lowered down but anger is seen in her features, she obeyed me... Good.

Daniela laughed "Control your girls or see them in a hospital." She said in between her laughter while walking towards a table with two girls following behind her. They took the table from the students near us and sit there instead.

We ate in silence once again while the three girls near our table started talking.

"Hey! Have you heard that Carlo came yesterday in the Underground Arena?" #1 of Daniela's friend said. Carlo...

"Yeah! I heard it! I'll go tonight. I might see him there!" #2 said giggling. It sounds like he's more than a celebrity. Tch.

"Let's go tonight!" #1 beamed.

"You go girls, I already have my Xenon." Daniela stated.

Cassy bit her lip resisting the urge to laugh while Drena smirked. What's the fun in the statement?

"If Carlo will be there, the Silencer might be there too." #2 said with a smile.

"Tch, I don't care! What's with that Silencer? To the fact that I can be stronger than that Silencer." Daniela said annoyed.

Cassy and Drena can't resist the laugh that wanting to show up anymore, as they bursted into a fit of laughter. And I smirked.

"What the fuc*, Stronger!" Drena said in between her laugh.

"She's just kidding Drena!" Cassy said still laughing.

I can feel Daniela and her friends coming towards us.

"What's funny?" Daniela asked anger is evident in her voice.

"You!" Cassy said trying her best to stop laughing. She is at my right so Daniela is also close to me.

"What did you say!?" Daniela hold her collar and made her stand up.

Drena quickly stand up from her seat and I take a drink from my juice.

"You're funny." Cassy stated with a serious face.

Daniela raised her hand aiming to slap Cassy's cheek while Drena moved trying to stop them. Well, it's sort of a slow motion for me. Before her hand landed on Cassy's face I already have her wrist.

It's fine if she just talk and talk, but it's not fine if she tried to hurt any of the two physically.

Daniela and the two girls behind her gasped and dazed for a moment while Drena was taken aback. I took her other hand out from Cassy's collar and she suddenly let go of it. Then, I let go both of Daniela's hand.

She laughed "Want to protect them hah." I smirked, she's angry. "Then, take what they should get." Her voice suddenly turned serious as she raised her hand in a fist giving me her full blow punch.

I lowered my head when I received it, "No! Don't hurt her!" Cassy shouted.

The two friends of Daniela is already holding both of her arms. Drena is looking sideways, her hands clenched, she's trying to resist the urge to stop us. I smirked. Good girl.

I received another punch as I stepped back, Cassy is crying now, then another punch in my stomach, so I decided to fall down but my back fall on a chair, so instead of lying I was in a sitting position.

"Drena! Please stop them! Stop them! Don't just stand there!" Cassy shouted with tears flowing down on her cheeks. She's trying to get out of the girls' hold but Drena have her words and she already gave it to me.

"Why don't you fight back!? You coward!" Daniela kicked me and another kick as she continuously kicking me harder but I just let her.

Suddenly, the door bursted open and a stern voice boomed around the restaurant. My fun is over.

"That's enough!" The voice is so stern but it goes softly in my ears as it flows down in my whole body...
