The abandoned retail store was much bigger than Lily would have guessed. Not the storefront itself, that was no bigger than most. But beyond the register and through the door were a series of offices. As they passed, she could see they were set up with security screens and other electronics. Though it looked thrown together hastily, she could tell the operation was sophisticated, even if the extent of her knowledge of computer hardware was seeing Mort’s workspace at his home while playing video games. This set up was almost as impressive.
They caught a glimpse of another room that was decked out like an armory. Weapons, enough to provision an army, filled the walls and tables. That was not good.
