Chapter 25 Kate MorganThe first of December came around and as much as Kate wanted to welcome the Christmas season with happiness and cheer, she just couldn’t find it within her. She sat down at the dining table in Sarah’s kitchen and took the cup of tea that was handed to her. “We need to do something,” she told Sarah. Sarah sat down across from her. “About Louise?” Kate nodded. She was desperate. If there was anything she could do to save her friend, she would do it. But as much as she wanted to, she was powerless. Feelings of inadequacy confronted her at every corner. “There’s really nothing we can do,” Sarah said. “It is what it is.” “But there has to be!” Kate’s tears rolled down her face. Normally, the tears would have come from Sarah. But this time, it was Kate who shed them.
