Not that Dalia has received a terrible news with Lucien's words, in truth, every cell in her body is jiggling with excitement that all she feels, Lucien feels the same, as per, if it is one thing she knows what everyone wishes for, is the eternity of having a mate bond.
But in Dalia’s dilemma, her feelings are constricted in terms that, she doubts if Lucien ever planned on telling her, and if he believed they could just go ahead with a competition without such matters arising, also, she believes if Lucien counts her as someone capable to meet his standard as a mate, for not telling her till date.
All these constrictions and more fill Dalia's head, as in another truth all she knows is the unexplainable feelings she feels and have heard by people who have a mate bond talk about. Apart from that, she knows nothing more of having a mate bond.
"Oh dear," Lady Eve eventually seeing reasons as to why Dalia will be in such condition. "Wipe your tears child, I presume you should be excited. I do hear it is a feeling unexplainable." Lady Eve for once talking to Dalia solemnly, apart from her training.
"Exactly Lady Eve, which is what constrict me." Dalia speaks. "I questioned myself everyday why I feel the way I feel with Lucien, and at some point I balmed myself for thinking I was going ahead of myself, for believing because Lucien saved I and Sebastian's life, for that could be the reason why I find myself pulling to him, just to find out that I am his mate!" Dalia spilling all her emotions, as all Lady Eve do is listen to her speak, as such experience do sound familiar to her.
"Then my questions go to if he ever had plans of telling me, rather if he even think i am fit to be his mate, for having him delay such news if I hadn't pestered him." Dalia adds, with another tear rolling down her brown cheek.
"And are you?" Is Lady Eve's words to her, as Dalia's brows scrunch. "Are you fit to be his mate Dalia?" Lady Eve questions Dalia again, as all Dalia can do is keep silent and gulp.
"Listen to me Child, I do not know reason as of why his highness must have kept such news from you, yet let me ask you, do you know anything about having a mate?" Lady Eve questions Dalia, as with all her words come discouraging to Dalia.
"No, but he is supposed to be my guide through, isn't that what it is all about?” Dalia speaks as a statement, yet a question.
"Oh Child, it is much more than which you think, which takes me back to my earlier question if you are fit to be his mate?" Lady Eve speaks again, taking Dalia to hold whatever tear builds in her eyes, creating anger slowly in her.
"For a man like Lucien zeak, who is feared and respected by all, do you believe it comes out of just nurturing a child and building anger?" Lady Eve keeps up her words, as Dalia neither says nothing, nor act. "Power, that is it which he has, and not just anyone can merge with that. So Dalia, if you want to have every of your side justified and not let any excuse skip from his highness mouth, gain your power, gain your power and merge with him as of how it should be, by refusing to battle your head with such questions that construct you.
Train yourself, and that of your mind, for if you accept the world you feel in your heart, smart mouth won't buy your way through it all. Let him feel you, let him feel your strength and your will, then, you can proudly stay by his side without question or doubt of if he thinks you fit." Lady Eve speaks tentatively, that as though every bit of wax guarding Dalia's ears dissolve to push Lady Eve's words through her cells.
"So child, what is it going to be? Let anyone tell you what life you should live or claim what is yours?" Lady Eve questions in great attendance, that she needs no reply from Dalia, as the fire that now burns in her eyes, answers her question.
And at this moment, Dalia is ready to claim what his hers, and no longer waiting for the leftovers. After all, she is the mate of hail and mighty Lucien zeak.

Dalia picks out the silver earring from the glass casing, with her hands not far away from Queen Lagartha's ear, slipping the earring into the tiny hole of her ear, as when she is done, she proceeds to the other, until she comes to a stop, staring back at the Queen who sits in front of her mirror, locking gaze with Dalia who stays behind her.
When word got to Dalia, about the Queen wanting her presence, she did believe it may have something to deal with her recent conversation with Lucien, yet, since her presence here, she and the Queen have only made brief discussions, one which involves, discarding her maids and letting Dalia, help her get ready for the event she has for the night.
"Tell me Dalia, how is Lady Eve's teaching to you?" Lagartha speaking, with her gaze remaining on Dalia from the mirror.
"Her teachings have quite been with improvements, your Majesty." Dalia responds with courtesy.
"I see. Then, you must be taking the time of Lucien's absence with full concentration till he is back, I presume." Lagartha's words come, as Dalia's brows responds with furrows.
"His highness is away?" Dalia uncertainty comes, with the recent news of her hearing.
"Didn't he mention it to you?" Lagartha's inquires, for that brings the gaze Dalia has on her down, as Dalia looks away unable to respond. "I assumed you two were getting closer?" Lagartha furthers.
"We are...were." Dalia begins, but halts in her statement. "My apologies your Majesty, this is a situation I find hard to elaborate." Dalia's words come with respect, while her gaze goes back to the queen.
Lagartha also goes silent, as she stares at Dalia from her mirror, observing every of her appearance, not without admitting that Dalia indeed has made a fine change, compared to when she first stepped foot in the palace, as now, one will hardly mistake her to not be royalty.
Lagartha stares to the extent, she finds what a beautiful woman Dalia is, as that and other reasons put a smile to her lips, knowing her son may have chosen well, than princess baked face.
"I recall when I and Arthur first met. Oh heavens, I hated his guts," Lagartha begins speaking as a chuckle escape her lips, taking Dalia by perplexity, but not without she also having a smile on her lips with the Queen's words.
"Being a female werewolf and one who belonged to one of wealthiest royals in Aveynia, and not to talk about being the eyes of other scorching males, I can say, Arthur resembled just like the rest to me, coming after me with flowers and gifts." Lagartha continues, while Dalia listens, with her gaze facing the queen with a smile from the mirror.
"Then one day, I decided to spend a day with each of the males who I saw compatible, regardless of knowing that I will eventually find my mate, yet, I decided to play around, as at that time I was close to the age of feeling the mate pull.
I was young, naïve and wanted to feel so much more than just to be the mate of someone else, which resulted to my scheme of spending such graceful time of mine with those young boys, whom are now men now." Lagartha chuckles, taking Dalia with her, as Dalia never imagined the Queen to be one with humor.
"I began with the rest, and Arthur was the last, as it seems what they say is true about letting the best be the last. My time with Arthur, I smiled, I laughed, and I enjoyed my time with him amongst the rest. I whom wanted to be free apart from being a mate, as with being a mate comes with responsibilities, such responsibilities that I was never ready to give." Lagartha adds, as Dalia gaze on her which stays with a smile begins to fade.
"I began spending more time with Arthur, enjoying his presence and appreciating his handsomeness, that I became scared of when I eventually reached the age of meeting my mate." Lagartha's words becomes solemn, while her lips move into a weak smile. "Would I appreciate knowing someone else, than where my heart was going? I questioned myself severally, but, as fate would have it, Arthur became my mate chosen by the heavens, as at that moment, I couldn't be more happier that the heavens granted me such joy." Lagartha's smile widens, as with her last words so does she get up from her seat, turning to face Dalia oppositely.
"I presume, her Majesty knows about me being his highness mate." Dalia speaks the truth, upon concluding to where Lagartha’s words are leading, as Lagartha’s smile turns into a smirk.
"I know everything Dalia, how else do you think the palace stays the organized?” Lagartha speaks, before her gaze becomes solemn. "My reason for telling you this Dalia, is for you to know what exactly having a mate is, and however the heavens decide to make you two meet, you will eventually meet, do you understand me? Either it is by a competition, or sighting you by afar, being a prince or a commoner, one way or another, you will find each other. That the uniqueness of a mate bond." Lagartha speaks words to Dalia, as she nod her head positively.
"You have a choice Dalia, you can choose to reject the mate bond or accept it, but let me tell you the consequences if you do reject. That feeling which you feel as though chokes you up just by the immense pleasure you feel with him, the craving of wanting his presence and not to talk about the easy arousal between your legs and the pulling of your heart to him, now imagine, having everything gone to be replaced by an everlasting pain and anger that can drive one mad." Lagartha's words sends Dalia to shiver in her bones, as her lips trembles.
"I do not inform you of all these to freight you, rather to educate you, on the adventure and bliss to come if indeed you do let yourself feel. Do not get me worng, I do not admit it will be easy, because nothing about being a royal is, but I promise you Dalia, every feeling of being with that one whom is your mate and destined for you, makes it worth it, because no matter how opposite the two are, the mate bond makes them similar." Lagartha ends her words, as Dalia doesn't know when her heart begins to clench and race in unexpectedly manner.
Dalia going into a state, as her eyes bat away the feeling of melancholy, not without passing her attention of why she seems to have become soft as of these past days. Every word surfacing in Dalia's head, from Lucien to lady Eve and down to the Queen, all seeping into her, that she seems to become lightheaded, and have to hold her stance not to fall weak.
The feeling of seeing Lucien and then disappearing from her eyes again, creates utter melancholy in Dalia, that every cell in her becomes upend just at the hearing and thoughts that she can reject a mate bond. A mate bond that without accepting, she receives immense pleasure and wet thighs from.
"Are you alright?" Lagartha's words comes with care, noticing Dalia's destabilizing physique.
"I'm fine, your ma..." And Dalia doesn't complete her words when her brain decides to shut down from her over drive and let her body go to rest and succumb to gravity on the ground, leaving the Queen to raise her voice in alarm for help.
