“I can’t believe you two actually pulled this off.” Chaos said looking at the man as if he were an alien to her. Daniel had been knocked out due to the struggle that he had put up as they tried to load him out of the jeep. Needless to say, Chaos wasn’t happy when he elbowed her in the chin. “Neither can I.” Doodle said as she came back into the room in her regular attire. She crossed her arms over her chest and sighed. It had been a pain in the ass to get him here as he attempted to scream and yell and make a fuss even with the duck tape over his mouth the entire time and being chained to the back of the seat in the jeep. “Now that he’s here what are we going to do with him?” Kay questioned wondering what CJ had in store for him. CJ was standing off to the side of Chaos. Approaching the man she squatted to the ground and gave him a few taps on the side of the cheek. He groaned so she tapped him harder causing his head to flinch back and shake it slightly. His eyes opened slowly as he looked around the room. Once he came to he jumped and found that he was tied to the chair that he was sitting down in as he was held captive. “Awe look, he’s kinda cute when he’s scared.” Chaos teased causing the man to shake his head as he attempted to speak through the duck tape across his mouth. CJ shook her head and motioned for Chaos to step forward, once she did she grabbed the duck tape and ripped it clean off his face. He yelled out in pain but Chaos grabbed his chin and cheeks with her one hand causing him to quiet. “You scream and it will just be annoying. We’re in the middle of the slums and nobody can hear you. So I suggest you just answer my questions so you don’t have to hurt that face of yours.” She told him causing him to look at her. He hissed as Chaos squeezed his face more, showing his white teeth as she crushed him. “Understood?” “Transparently.” He managed to say which caused Chaos to release his mouth. He gasped and moved around his jaw a bit before he looked at all the women in the room. “So, why am I here?” “You’re here because you’re the go between for the Royal Family and the rest of the government. That’s why you’re here.” Code snapped, not happy to have someone in such a high position here in their hideout. Daniel slowly nodded his head as he looked at her as she was to his left leaning against the bar in the room. “And that’s important because?” “Don’t play dumb! We know you know who we are and who we’re after!” Chaos yelled in his face, causing him to turn his head off to the side a bit. CJ snapped her fingers, causing Chaos to back off. “Take a walk, Chaos.” Code said with her arms crossed over her chest. Chaos turned to yell at her next until CJ spoke up. “Yeah, go clear your head. Come back when you’re calmed down.” She told the woman. Chaos scoffed and shook her head. Turning around she went to leave the room, but not before kicking over a chair on her way out causing it to sound loudly as it hit the wall. Daniel seemed very confused as to her outburst looking between all the girls in the room. “You’ll have to excuse her, she doesn’t like either of the people you’re currently working with.” CJ said closing her eyes for a moment as she cleared her throat. “Killed her family right in front of her.” Doodle added, causing some of the confusion to leave Daniels’ face. “Oh – I – I’m sorry. I did – “ “Know? Yeah, none of you big shots know or care to know for that matter.” Code said speaking up again. Boxx and Red were in the back shuffling around by the fridge while the interrogations were going on. Everyone could hear them every now and again but for the most part Red was just trying to keep Boxx occupied. “We’ve all lost someone or something we loved to them.” Kay said speaking up finally. She was always the quiet one of the group and it showed greatly now more than ever as they had him in the room. “Some more than others.” Judith said as she messed with the wrap around her head. Daniel looked at her and then slowly looked back across the room to Doodle, who was standing in front of him and behind CJ. Hearing the snapping of fingers, Daniel looked back down to CJ as she was attempting to get his attention. “So, now that you know – and you know who we all are – you probably know what we’re going to be asking of you next.” “How to get to the Royal Family?” “Bingo.” Daniel was quiet for a moment. He sat there looking at his lap and his dark navy blue work pants. Shaking his head slowly he looked back up at CJ. “I’m sorry, I can’t help you.” He told her. She just looked up at him. She sighed through her nose and stood up. Shrugging her shoulders she clenched her fist and caused her ring to glow. “Alright, if that’s how you want to play it. That’s how we’ll play it.” She said as she punched him in the side of the face. He gasped and started coughing as his head was turned to the side from the impact. “I just hit you with one hundred pounds of force to your jaw. My powers allow me to hit you with up to one ton. Although I’m pretty sure your jawbone will be broken at two fifty. Wanna try answering my question again?” She spat looking down at Daniel as he looked back up at her. He was already bleeding from the side of his mouth as he looked at her. He shook his head again only to be hit again by CJ’s fist. He grunted and cried out as he fell over along with the chair as it fell onto its side from the amount of force she used. He laid there groaning in pain only to have his chair be picked back up and sat back on all four legs again by Code. “One last time before I break your jaw, Rich boy.” CJ threatened only to have Daniel spit out his blood onto the floor by her foot. He looked up at her again and could see that she was glaring down at him. “I guess you’ll just have to kill me then.” He said his head lulling to the side. She clenched her teeth and squeezed her hand together tighter as she powered up her next hit with enough to break his jaw. “Wait hold on!” Doodle called out as she stepped forward, grabbing CJ’s elbow to keep her from going through with the attack. She glared over at Doodle as she didn’t understand why the woman was stopping her from going through with her promise. “What?” She snapped, her anger clearly showing in her voice as she was forced to lower her arm. Doodle scoffed and looked between Daniel and CJ. “He can’t talk if his jaw is broken… have Judith tend to him for a minute. I’m sure he’ll be more than talking then.” She told the woman. CJ seemed to stop and think for a moment. Doodle was right, if he had his jaw broken then there would be no way he could tell them what it was they wanted to know. “Grab your laptop Judith.” CJ ordered, causing the young woman who had been watching this whole time climb down off the table and grab her laptop. Turning it on she booted up the PC. Looking to CJ and Doodle she sat down back at the table. “What do you want me to do?” She questioned wondering how they wanted her to use her powers. CJ lulled her head to the side still glaring down at Daniel. “Shock the s**t out of his neck.” She ordered. Judith just nodded as she started typing away on the keyboard. Code went to the back and returned with some copper wires that they had used earlier that week to replace some lighting in the hideout. “Here, this should work.” She showed Judith as she dropped them on the floor by the young woman’s feet. Judith nodded as she kept typing away. Daniel coughed again, spitting up more blood onto the floor. He didn’t know what was going to happen next all he knew was he was going to get shocked on the neck apparently. Suddenly green bolts of electrical currents seemed to come out of the sides of the computer. Daniels’ eyes widened as he watched the currents take hold of the copper wires and instantly they came to life. He watched as the wires hovered in the ground and seemed to move to however it was Judith wanted them to move. In truth she was typing in code on her laptop for what she wanted to happen. Her power was being able to control electrical and metal objects that could hold a power supply or conduct electricity. Daniel gritted his teeth when he felt the painful muscle wrenching tingling sensation that went through his neck. It finally came to the point where he cried out, his fingers and arms numb from the pain as his neck felt like it was going to explode from the pressure. “Tell us what we want to know and we’ll make it all stop.” CJ told promised him. He only continued to scream as the pain became worse. He started rocking back and forth in the chair that he was currently tied up to. Shaking his head his eyes started watering as he finally spoke. “Alright! Alright! Just – Just please stop!” He cried out, having CJ nod her head in which Judith stopped shocking him. The wires fell to the floor as the currents left them and she stopped typing on her keyboard. Daniel sat there panting as he was out of breath. The pain that he had felt was something he had never felt before, even getting shocked on accident wasn’t anywhere near the pain he felt with what had just happened to him. With his head lowered CJ leaned over and grabbed the back of his hair, pulling his face up to have him look at her. “How do we get to the Royal Family?” She questioned him again. He was breathing deep as he tried to speak. It took him a minute but he finally spoke. “You don’t find them – they find you.” He told them. Nobody spoke. What did he mean by they didn’t find them? “What’s that suppose to mean? Don’t talk to me in riddles or we’re hooking it up to your nuts next!” “I’m not talking in riddles! I’m serious! The family cannot be found, they can’t be gotten to it’s only if they want to be found. And if that’s the case, if they want to be found, it’s because they’re after you.” He said looking at CJ. She pressed her lips together and released his hair. She stood up and paced around the room. She was angry. This wasn’t the answer that she wanted. This wasn’t what she had spent months and months – years planning only to just now find out this information. Doodle shook her head, this wasn’t something that anyone here wanted to hear. Looking toward the door she figured she’d go check on Chaos since CJ seemed to have things taken care of in here. Walking outside she heard something clash in the background her guess was CJ had kicked over a chair or smashed a table in half. Standing outside in the middle of the afternoon Doodle looked around for Chaos. She didn’t see her right at first, but that was because the woman was off to her right, more toward the alleyway that lead out onto the street. Sighing deeply she noticed that the woman didn’t look happy at all. “Hey, you doing okay?” She asked walking up to the woman. She woman shook her head and scoffed not even caring to look at Doodle as she came up to stand beside her. “What do you think?” She spat. It was obvious that she still wasn’t doing well at all and all Doodle could figure is that this was about her parents. Chaos was put in a room with someone who worked so closely to the people that had killed them without hesitation. That itself must have been hard to handle. “Look, I know you’re not happy, but we’re doing the best we can to find out a way inside. The Royal Family won’t be able to continue doing what they’re doing to people once we get them. We’ll make them pay for what they’ve done to you and your family – to everyone’s families too.” “Has he said anything yet?” She questioned. Doodle looked at her. It was obvious that she couldn’t tell Chaos what Daniel had told them, about only being found when they wanted to be found. “We’re getting closer to the answers we need.” She said instead. At least this way she wouldn’t have to straight up lie to the woman who was in obvious distraught about everything. She heard Chaos sigh. Pushing herself up off the wall of the hideout she turned and looked at Doodle, standing in front of her. “Richy was only seven when they gunned him down. My mother and father already dead. He watched as they killed our parents right in front of us. I couldn’t make it out with him. You know how painful that is – knowing that I couldn’t protect my own little brother! I’m going to make sure that I kill every last one of those bastards if it’s the last thing that I – “ Doodle closed her eyes quickly when something wet splattered all over her face. Blinking her eyes open slowly she seen Chaos’s face still. Looking closer, she seen the hole that was in the center of her head. Blinking a few more times Doodle quickly realized that she had been shot in the back of the head and the wetness was the blood from Chaos’s body. Gasping slightly she watched as the woman’s body dropped to the ground making a heavy thudding sound. Her breathing quickened as her bright blue eyes turned back to see military police headed her way with their guns raised. She heard a zooming sound as what she could only guess was a bullet flying past her head and missing. Turning quickly, feeling as if she was in slow motion she darted back toward the door to the hideout. Her ears ringing as her adrenaline was pumping as she was yelling out but she didn’t think she was saying anything coherent. “Military police – Chaos is dead!” She cried out causing the other women to look shocked at her words. “Gear up! Gear up now and head for the back!” Code cried out just as a smoke generate came flying in through one of the widows. Doodle ran and grabbed Judith by the arm, and Kay by the other as she went to drag them out the back if she had to. “Is she really dead!” Judith called out, but Doodle was in retreat mode. She knew that there was a handful of police out there and there was no way that they could handle them with who was left. Even with twice as many it would still be far from a fighting chance. There had to be at least thirty officers out there from what she could see from the three armored vehicles. Pushing them toward the back closet door Doodle opened it and shut it back again. Grabbing the other end of the storage shelf that Kay had the two of them scooted it just far enough to where they could see the secrete door. It was an escape hatch that went to the sewage systems that they had worked out. Tossing open the door the three girls could hear the violence happening outside. “Get to Grover Hill. Hide there, if I’m not there by midnight go find Emit. He’ll help you both.” Doodle told them. Judith grabbed the woman’s arm as she looked up at her shocked. “You’re not coming with us!” “CJ, Code, Boxx, and Red are still out there and need my help. If you don’t go now, you won’t make it – now go!” She said yanking her hand away from Judith as she pushed the girl down into the hole. Judith yelped as she landed on her back, her computer bag falling off her shoulders. Kay looked up prepared to yell up to her friend when the door slammed shut. Doodle grunted as she moved the shelf back to it’s original place. Turning around she took a deep breath and drew out her weapon before opening the door back up. She shut the door behind her and made her way down the hallway where an officer rounded the corner. Yelling at the top of her lungs Doodle sliced through the front of the man causing him to fall off the to side. She stepped over him and turned the corner to head back to the pain room where she dodged an officer that went flying from a chain that had been wrapped around him by Code. Code had a long chair that she was spinning around and grabbing any officer that came through the front door and throwing them against the walls. CJ was punching left and right as she seemed like she had been hit by a bullet or two. Looking around Doodle noticed Red and Boxx that were huddled over in the corner by the fridge. Rushing their way as she sliced through another officer, she grabbed Red by the shoulder.
