Chapter Eleven

- Ella's P.O.V -

i couldn't help the smile that was on my face as Chase lead me to an empty booth at the far side of the cafe i noticed that he had smiled and nodded at quite a few people but didn't bother to stop and talk to anyone, once we made it to the booth he let go of my hand and watched me as i slipped in on the far side before sitting opposite me smiling at me like a cat that had finally caught the mouse i automatically picked up the menu that was wedged between the sugar and the napkin holder and browsed it, i was planning on taking full advantage of eating anything what i had been fed back at the cabin and my mind was racing with the possibilities, " so .... stew and stake? " asked Chase raising his eye brow slightly looking slightly confused by my earlier statement i couldn't help but chuckle softly at his confused face " my cousin's seem to only like to eat ... or know how to cook stew and stake so its all i've had since i moved down here" i shrugged giving him my best answer the fact was i didnt know why that was all they cooked or ate although i was pretty sure if i gave them fish or chicken henry would possibly explode " so your not originally from around here then? " he asked just as a waitress walked over to take our order stopping me from answering " what can i get ya both today? " asked the woman with a red apron wrapped around her waist she was a plump woman in her mid to late 30's with matching red fake nails and lips and a heck of a lot of other make up products on her face she slightly reminded me of the over eager children in miami who was just learning to do their make-up and wasn't sure what each product does or how much to put on and i took my time studying her seen as she had spotted Chase's face and decided that he was alone and not sat with me,

the more i watched her batting her face eyelashes at Chase and pushing her clearly pushed up breasts in his face the angrier i got and found myself biting my tongue to stop myself from commenting on her appearance " Ella do you know what you want ?" asked Chase doing his best to ignore the woman " yeah... can i get a double cheeseburger with salad and a side order of fries and onion rings, a large strawberry shake and a slice of apple pie please" i smiled at chase as i reeled off my order which seemed to make Chase chuckle " sounds perfect i'll have the same but make mine a chocolate shake please sophie " smiled Chase Sophie seemed to snap out of her own air headed thoughts when Chase had finished speaking and suddenly realized he wasn't alone, after repeating our order back to us she walked off to place our order with the chef and left us to our conversation " so where you from" smiled Chase repeating the question from moments ago with a soft smile on his face " i grew up in miami" i smiled hoping he wouldn't ask about my parents it was still a sore subject for me and with Emerson and Markus avoiding the subject like the black plague i hadn't really been able to mourn them properly a few moments later the airhead sophie came back with half our order before retrieving the other half placing all of chases in front of him before he slid them over to me with a small smile " ladies eat first " he stated simply as the waitress returned sulking at what he had done 

chase's P.O.V

i had noticed the look sophie had given me when we placed our order and i had ignored her the room was full of pack members and a few humans that lived inside our town although our pack out weighed the human populous but we left them alone and they in return left us alone Sophie was an old unmated she wolf who would hit onto anything with a pulse and a position of power in the hopes of living a life without making a living it didn't seem to matter to her age or position so long as she didn't have to do anything to taxing within the pack, i knew why she had given me my food first when she returned with our order it was custom in the pack that the highest in power would be served first and then others was served according to their rank and as Sophie didn't know Ella's rank she assumed that she was below me and was shocked when i gave my plate to Ella instead of eating it myself but she would understand eventually, i had so many questions to ask Ella but i got the strangest feeling that she didn't want to talk about what brought her here so i decided to keep things closer to home " so why was you lost in the woods?" i asked as i placed a few fries in my mouth and began to chew them not taking my eyes off her.

Ella was half way to taking a bite of her burger when her hands stopped halfway to her mouth " well... erm.. it kinda has to do with why i am hear and hot in miami anymore but i really don't want to talk about that right now it's a long story and one that i am not ready to go into right now.... sorry" Ella gave me a strained smile before taking a bight of her burger and letting out a moan of pleasure that had my body tingling all over " oh my god!! this could possibly be the most delicious thing i have ever eaten" exclaimed Ella as she swallowed before stuffing a few fries in her mouth i couldn't help the chuckle that escaped my mouth as i watched her roll her eyes as she tasted the food in front of her " that good ay?" i asked before taking a bite of my own cheeseburger as she nodded her head up and down before taking another bite of her's, i smiled and let the conversation die as we ate leaving her to enjoy her food which she seemed to be doing immensely.

 we was half way threw our meal when the bell above the front door chimed signaling a new customer had come in and from the smell of cheap perfume i knew it was April, i must of frowned or something because Ella picked up on my displeasure straight away " what's wrong Chase?" she asked placing her burger down and picking up the last of her fries " uh.. wha.." i didn't have time to reply before Aprils' voice stopped me mid sentence "Chase, baby, i wondered where you had ran off to in such a hurry" her shrill whiney voice hit my ears making me shudder, i cleared my throat as April came into view wearing the same skimpy outfit from earlier although she had changed her shoes it seems to some strange wedged things " April, how many times do i have to tell you to stop calling me baby? ... and if you don't mind i was enjoying a meal with..." again she cut me off " awe don't be like that babe, oh i didn't realize the orphanage had a new stray..." this time it was my turn to cut her " APRIL!! will you shut up! " i demanded shocking her and the rest of the cafe into silence " for one Ella is not from the orphanage and why you would assume so is beyond me and for two i am not nor will i ever be you baby, babe or bea so stop calling me it do you understand me ?" my temper was flaring and i couldn't hold it in any longer how dare she assume that Ella was an Orphan without actually asking her " oh no babe are you having a bad day do you need me to rub your shoulders?" asked April as she slipped her hands around my neck, it was then that i heard a growl and i wasn't entirely sure it came from me " oh wow Chase i didn't know this town had a brothel? ill be sure to tell my cousin Henry about it, excuse me April is it do you have a business card i could have for my cousin i think he would like your company i can't say for certain but i'm sure cheap and nasty is his style!" smirked Ella  causing me to bite my lip to hold in my laugh, it took April a moment to recover from the shock before her features twisted into that of a snarl " how dare you speak to me like that you..."  again she was cut off by Ella " you what? Orphan? awe honey im new to this town and if i can make that judgement about you just from the way your dressed and throwing yourself at someone who correct me if i am wrong, doesnt want your attention your either one of three things desperate for attention, delusional or a prostitute, i assume your dont wear that tacky imitation stuff for kicks so i went for the latter and figured your paid to wear it" Ella smiled sweetly at April as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth this time i couldn't hold in my laughter especially when i saw sophie out the corner of my eye crease up in stitches before covering her mouth with her hands " you can't talk to me like that Chase? say something... Defend me?" whined April with a red face, i was unsure weather it was from embarrassment or anger but i was prepared to step in if April got violet but i was sure Ella could hold her own if April stayed in human form, 

 " Ella your killin' me hear Angel, but your right Aprils attention is unwanted but i'm sorry to say she dresses like this by choice" i say calming my laughter slightly so that i was only chuckle, April didnt say another word before she turned and rushed out of the door leaving me to try and calm down my humor i felt bad for April but it was about time someone called her out on her behaviour and i was proud as hell it was Ella it showed me what type of person she was and what type of Luna she would become " are you serious she dresses like that on purpose? " asked Ella as she continued with her meal as if it hadn't be interrupted, i nodded my head in response as i took a deep breath finally calming myself enough to eat again " wow ok now i feel bad... slightly anyway you just looked really uncomfortable... im sorry" she sighed looking down at her plate " don't be she acts like that to every male that is within arms reach her target changes monthly but she seems to have gotten stuck on me for some reason and even though i have told her i'm not interested she still pursued me relentlessly " i say waving off her apology Ella simply nods her head before we return to finishing our meal in silence.
