Why Does She Keep On Coming?

" good morning Jane, it's Tuesday 6am. " The alarm clock kept on repeating until Jane woke up and put it off. Her eyes still closed and she was about to fall asleep again when there was a bang in downstairs which shook her up. Jane got up from bed and hurriedly went down to see what had happened. But there wasn't anything suspicious to her. " Hey Joe, you are on time. " She said sighing. " Yup and you are late. Lazy head go and change your dress asap." He said smiling. Jane we t back to her room to change her dress. Meanwhile, Mary comes out and finds Joe sitting on the sofa, " good morning Joe. Does Abe know you have come?" She asked. "good morning Mrs. Knight, ya she knows. She'll be here within a minute. " Replied Joe. Joe got up to greet her when he notices a bruise on the left side of her forehead. When Mary understands that he has noticed it , she immediately excuses herself and leaves to her room. Right at that moment Jane comes down, " well Joe, let's go " she says smiling. Joe didn't know how to respond so he smiled and nodded his head in approval and walked out of the house.
" Hey Joe, I have a great news to tell you. " Said Jane merrily while continuing their morning walk." Yup shoot up" he replied. " Guess what, my dad is sending us to my grandparents house this Friday. I am super excited you know." She says invigoratingly. " Wo that's a great news. Congrats darling." He replies. " Ya I have never been to my grannies home. I don't know why he stopped us always as I felt bad when everyone visits their grannies home after the exams but we used to be at home. But my mom and I never questioned him for this. But this time he himself told us to visit them and stay there for few days " said Jane. Joe smiled back at her. " Hey what happened?? Why are you acting so weird?? " Jane asked him. " What?? Nothing babes. All's good. " He replied. " No, something is bothering you. I can see that on your face. Common now tell me. " She insisted. Joe kept mum for a second. Then he Asks hesitatingly "is your mom fine?? I mean is she well??" " Ya, why??" Jane asks back. " No it's just that when I came to your house this morning, she met me in the drawing room, we greeted each other. Then I saw a bruise on the top left side of her forehead. Mrs. Knight understood that and hastily leaves the room. " Joe reverts worryingly. Jane looks at him, startled and serious. " I didn't want to scare you but is everything fine between your parents. ??" He asks. But Jane remains silent and gets engrossed in her thoughts.
Coming back home, Jane finds her mother on the table making breakfast for herself and Jane. " Good morning mom, where's dad? " Asks Jane sitting opposite to Mary. " Good morning sweety, your dad is in his lab busy with his new tasks. " Replies Mary. Jane looks at her mother's forehead, but there was not any mark or bruise Joe was talking about this morning. " So what are your plans today mom??" Jane asks. " I don't feel going out today sweety. I would better stay at home and take rest. " Says Mary. " Why ? What happened?? You alright??" Jane asks concerned. " Yup I am. It's just that I need some time for myself plus we are leaving on Friday so gona see if I could make a list to buy few things for mom and dad." Mary puts an extra effort to make her believe in it. " Alright mom. But please take care of yourself. If you want I'll stay with you today. " Jane says. " No sweety you go. I'll be fine. Your dad is here only. Don't worry. If needed I'll call him." She says. " Ok mom. " Jane replies and finishes her breakfast in silence.
Mary then excuses herself and heads to her room. Jane sits on the dining table and eats her breakfast when a hushed voice awakens her. " Charley???? Help me??" As if someone is calling her out. She stops her chewing and looks around but there is no one in the room except herself. " Please help me??? " The whispered voice disappears in the air. Jane gets up from the chair and rushes towards the window and through the window glass pane she tries to see if she could find anyone. Wandering her eyes almost in every direction, when she finally gives up and sits back on the chair thinking it must a mistake. "Plus who is Charley??" She says to herself. When she finishes her food Jane gets up to go to her room. A gust of wind rushes in with a piece of note in the air, " help me Charley, I am your little sister." Jane hears it very clearly. She looks at the window and was about to go there when a sharp shrewd voice startles her." Hey my little angel, are you not going to your college??" Asks Richard. Jane turns back and finds her father standing at the door of this room. " Oh" she says in fear." What?? Did I frighten you??" He asks . And then says " oh I am sorry my love. I didn't mean to" he says. "It's ok dad. Ya I have a class one hour later. I'll be get going. " She replies. Jane was about to leave when she stops and says, " dad , mom isn't well. I guess she may need help." " Don't worry dear, I'll be watching her and be taking good care of her" assures Richard. Jane gets convinced and leaves to her classes.
" What is happening?? Why do I hear voices?? " She says to herself while riding her bicycle to her college. Within few minutes, Jane reaches college and keeping her bicycle at the stand she leaves to her class when a message popped in, " thankyou very much loser."
