Prologue
Love is not a possession to be obtained and used to cage someone in a relationship. Expecting someone to love in the same way as you do can lead to unhappiness and dissatisfaction in the relationship. Love cannot be demanded from others like a material possession. Even if someone offers plenty of love, it may not be felt if one is not receptive to it.
One can feel loved through receiving caring messages and support in different situations in life. Similarly, a person may not feel love from the other side even after receiving material things such as chocolates, flowers, gifts, or even a car. This is because love cannot be weighed or measured in terms of money, it has no monetary value. It is the feeling of being loved by someone for whom you care about, so every small action they do becomes a part of that affection and is valued.
'What are your subject combinations?' In a private message, I inquired about her academic pursuit, hoping to initiate a conversation as to find a like-minded anime enthusiast. As we chatted, we exchanged witty memes, discussed our respective counselors, and shared about our future aspirations. She proved to be a lively conversationalist, always ready to engage and initiate new topics.
However, i soon realized that my humorous quips fell flat with her, perhaps because she had limited exposure to current events on social media and a narrower range of meme knowledge than I had anticipated. While I was more interested in broader topics, she had a passion for fashion and beauty products.
Like the ebb and flow of the tides, our conversation swelled with enthusiasm and curiosity, only to be interrupted by the dinner call by her mother, which acted villian to the scene. Despite our differing interests, our conversation was a harmonious melody, with each of us playing our part in creating a symphony of words.
As we said our goodbyes, I was left with a sense of nostalgia for a conversation that had ended all too soon. But I was also filled with hope that we would continue our exchange another day, perhaps exploring new topics and learning from each other's unique perspectives. The wait to attend the college next day was growing faster not to learn new things, but perhaps to meet someone........
