Chapter 24 Etan kept to the alley behind the cinderblock hospital, walking between it and a bunch of red and brown brick buildings. Sandy’s advice was accurate and welcome. The late afternoon was usually a fairly busy time. Today no one was out, at least not that he could see. The town jail had seen surprisingly little use since the end of the old world.
