Shadow’s pov
I woke up late, and kids were cranky. I was ready to head out the door when there was a knock. Just great who could that be? I looked out the door and saw Shalan standing there.
I didn’t need this crap right now. I needed to get the kids to daycare and get to work. I knew he wouldn’t go away unless I talked to him, but I didn’t want him seeing the kids.
Not until I knew what he was up to. I wasn’t going to let him hurt them or use them to get to me. I put the baby gate up so that the kids would be ok then went to answer the dor.
