Here I was a long way from home, and anyone I knew. I had no home and no job. I was scared. I had some money in savings but not a ton. It wouldn’t last forever. What have I done?
I should have just stayed and told Jacob that we couldn’t be together. But no, I had to run away like I always do. I couldn’t go back now. I didn’t have anything to go back to. I had no job, no home, and no Jacob.
I decided to try and find another job. So, I sent out my resume to some new places. I called back a few that was interested in me before. I talked to one law firm that said they did want to hire me but after speaking to my former boss they were no longer interested.
