Jacob’s pov
I asked the guys what was going on. They said they were packing up stuff because the person that lived there moved. She was gone. Why would she do that?
I thought she cared about me like I did her. I guess I was wrong. I kept getting calls from law firms that wanted to hire her. I told them she was a flight risk and left my firm without giving any warning.
Did I feel bad for what I was doing? Yes, but I wanted her back. I needed her to come home. I answered my phone not expecting it to be Alexa calling me.
I thought I would fix everything when I talked to her. I wasn’t expecting her to be so angry. Then to say the things she did. So, I got angry. Then I said some things I didn’t mean. Now she’s gone. She’s never going to come back now.
