Alexa’s pov
Jacob stayed and we talked for a while then I made him go home. I just wasn’t ready for anything beyond kissing yet. I was still scared. My job meant so much to me it allowed me to work towards my goal of becoming a lawyer.
Was Jacob worth screwing all that up for? That’s what scares me the most because I’m not sure he is. I have everything to lose. I wish I had someone to talk to about this, but sadly I don’t.
I pretty much ignored all my friends for my work until they just stopped trying. I truly felt alone. Normally I would throw myself into work to forget my problems but work just made me think of Jacob.
